I have plenty of Whopper Plopper 110s and 90s. Just wondering if there is any reason to buy a WP 75?

I've been debating this too. I like that the 75 is taller and wider than the 90 with the tail of the 110. They kind of look like those bug-eye goldfish we used to have as pets when we were kids...lol. I'll probably pick up a couple just to see how they do and if they're successful a couple more.

Different profile and something they haven't seen before. That can make a big difference in pressured waters.

Well I have 90's and 110's.  I just bought a 75 and I plan on throwing it this weekend.  I'd venture to say similar to lays potato chips I bet you cant buy just one.

Probably don't need one but are you really not going to buy one? Really? ?

 

I have had a few 90s, a 110, and a 130. No way I won't own a couple 75s at some point. Maybe even a 190 or two.

Shorter but fatter bait for a different profile and supposed to be different sound. Not really any different than is there a reason to buy different colors of the same bait, only if you think there is a reason. 

How else would you be able to complete the ultimate topwater lure, the whopper plopper train?

I only have one 90 and two 110, might get one 75 but not in a hurry. 

Got one 110 never caught anything and 2 90s that smash fish regularly.  No need for a 75.

Smaller than the 90, but heavier and will cast farther..

I'm the opposite of you, smash them on the 130, but don't catch a thing on the 90s.

Jokes aside, I wouldn't spend the money.

I only throw the 110 in 2 colors.

.....at the 75 size, I am putting on a more versatile popper that can be retrieved many ways.

No doubt there will be post with big fish on them, but it isn't for me

What I meant was that I have other bait about that same size that are more versatile,.......

 

I don't  see the need and if I don't throw the 90, it would just take up room in the box

I just bought one because it cost just the right amount of money to get me free shipping on my last purchase which is coincidentally the same logic behind every other item on the order.

I have lost a bunch of +3 pounders with the 75. Changed the hooks with bigger one but no luck . I would stick with 110 or 90 for better presentation. 

Me personally, I like the 75 size much better then the 90. I feel the "fatter" bodied 75 doesn't have the tendency to spin on itself that the 90 does. The fatter body acts like a keel to keep it from spinning. It's a more bite sized bait. I have had problems with the 90 picking up bits of weed or grass in the prop and then it spins on retrieve and creates horrible line twist especially when you retrieve it fast to go for the next cast.

*The WP 90 is more of a finesse WP while the 75 and 110 are more alike in how they are used ... I prefer the 110 as an all - around size but on the right equipment the 75 and even 130 can be very effective . The WP 90 can be a pain to work properly - you have to pay attention to what you are doing with it as it can spin out , blow out , dive , etc. (all the things you don't want it to do on a retrieve) . Therefore I save the WP 90 on the most calm days to use . I have less experience with the WP 75 with it's different shape and action - still trying to decide if I need it or not ?

I've become a fan of the 75. It rides over the waves I deal with a lot better and makes a different sound then the 90. The 90 is still my best producer, but the 75 serves a good purpose and caught my biggest smallmouth of the year last year. 

75s weigh more than the 90s. They are easier to throw on casting gear. I personally like my 75s as much as my 110 & 130s
