I  would like to participate, just not sure what I am getting myself into.....

So my though behind this is that members on here trade baits that they make that work in their local waters. It allows the participants to try baits from different geographical areas and see the workmanship of the baits. You may receive a bait that you never considered using that becomes the next go-to. I like it because some of the things that show up I have never considered? This expands your horizons and will make you a better bait maker in my opinion.

I think this just died out for the year?

I would still be in after we're moved and settled in. We just need to get a headcount and set a cutoff date for when people can get in, and a cutoff day for when baits need to be completed and shipped. Without those guidelines things just drag on and never actually happen.

I’d be interested if we did this later in the fall. Life is too crazy currently

Someone needs to take charge and run this? Last year Bluebasser did it but he is busy with other things like some of us others. I will participate  but do not have the time to coordinate and participate in the lure swap so I am ready for someone to step up for this.

We can still do this but like I said someone needs to volunteer to be in charge of the swap. At this point I would suggest a date of next year for everyone to have their baits in. I can make baits now but do to a medical family situation August and September are no good for me.

I'm in.  When/if someone does the organizing, let me know.

I'm in, I would volunteer but shipping in Canada would probably upset you guys.

Edit* I could give each member my address and we can calculate shipping costs kind of like last time. Just let me know.

If we do it jan/feb time frame I can do the organizing

Winter time works for me but I think some others have outdoor shops that it might not work so well for.

Works for me as well

It's just a lure swap. Make a bait that you specialize in, doesn't have to be anything too fancy. Last year we had hair jigs, bass jigs, jerkbaits, inline spinners, swim jigs, plastics, and bladed jigs. I don't think we put a cap on it last year but you're not expected to drop a bunch of money on it, but also needs to be more than a couple unpainted ball heads.

Can someone fill me in on this? I'd love to jump into this.

Here is what it is all about.

We get a list of people who want to participate here on this thread. Each person makes some baits that work for them (cap is $10 I think), Say there are 12 people you will send 11 sets of the baits along with like $5 for shipping to whoever is running it. They will then package up the different baits and send them out to the participants.

Making the baits I can do but getting to the PO to ship things is a real tough for me which is why I said someone else needs to run it. I also suggest sending an extra bait to whoever is running it to compensate them for the trouble.

Sounds good to me. Sign me up.

If no on else is able to handle the shipping logistics, I might be able to help.

Let's get this going so we can start with a list of names that want to participate.  To give everyone enough time I say we set the date to January 15th of next year.  This seems far out but it gives everyone enough time to not interfere with whatever else you have going on.

If you or fishballer agree to handle the shipping logistics then we should start a list of participants.  Additionally is everyone alright with the 15 January date?
