I just purchased the St. Croix Mojo Bass Glass Target Cranker 6’10” med, moderate. What reel should I pair with it? I plan on using 12lb flouro and I will be throwing mostly crankbaits but the occasional spinner bait and chatter bait as well. I don’t want to spend more than $140CAD. I would also like a metal frame or something that will hold up, in preferably a 6:?:1 ratio left handed model. I was looking at the Daiwa Fuego ct, does anyone have any experience with it. Any other suggestions are greatly appreciated.

I have a Fuego CT and it's a awesome reel. Smooth, easy to tune in. I'd definitely recommend it.

The Daiwa is a good one but I'd also recommend a Shimano SLX.

Fuego CT is a great option.  No one will accuse it of feeling like the most expensive reel in the world,  but it is smooth, casts very well, and has excellent braking system.

 

I have a 6 speed on one of my cranking rods and love it.

I would also recommend you look at the Shimano SLC before you purchase.  The reel has received really good reviews, starting with TT upon its introduction to the market last year ($100).  I have not seen a negative comment anywhere by an owner.

Lew's Tournament MB in 5.2:1 gear ratio is what I use for crankbaits. The same reel comes in many gear ratios so you can find one with the speed you prefer.

I've been using a Daiwa Tatula 100 6.3 on my cranking rod and really like it. On sale at Sportsman's outfitters. 

Another SLX fan here. I'd look at it in the 6.3:1 ratio. The medium action rod is going to limit you somewhat on spinner bait and crank bait sizes. Should be good for up to 3/8 oz spinners and mid-depth cranks (under 3/4oz). Strike King 5XD, Bomber 300's, SPRO 55RK's and Rapala's probably up to DT10.

   I have a Curado 200i, a Curado 70 and a Fuego 7.3.   The Fuego is by far the easiest to dial in quickly. That's important to me when either changing casting angles relative to the wind, or going to balsa lures from trap-types. It just boils down to practicality.    jj

With a M glass 6'10" cranking rod 1/4-3/4 oz lures you can use any 100 size bait casting reel within your budget with what ever ratio you prefer, no limitations. You will struggle with deep divers, lures within the rods recommended weights should be good.

This would be my choice.  I don't have one myself, but in that price range a bunch of guys have Quantum Accurists.
