Hey folks! Here's a quick tip to turn your tube baits into all-terrain vehicles to dig those bass out of thick cover!

Nice video.  Looked like megastrike scent?

This idea is the most weedless way I have ever used a tube.  The problem I found is the weight some how gets in the way on hook set and lets the fish come unbuttoned.

Looks kinda neat! Except I’d be spending a whole day trying to get the hook through that tiny d/s weight clip!

Why not use a bass casting weight?

They’re like $1 a pack at walmart

The point of the video, as mentioned in the beginning, is to re-purpose specialty tackle so that you can do more with them.  Thus, expanding the usefulness of a dropshot weight.

what kind of hook is that ...

Found it - YouTube description.

I’m interested in what you use for weighted wacky/flick shake

Yup, great hook. I use it for a variety of finesse baits and tactics, like splitshot rigs!

I use a standard football head jig.  Like a Gamakatsu football head jig.  Why do you ask?

I getcha Glenn. I can see the sense in toning down tackle you have to bring to save space, especially when you fish the back like I do!

My concern was getting the hook through that small eye on D/S clip.

Yeah I don’t know if I could handle that. Cool looking rig, I have just never seen any of that stuff before haha. I’ve definitely never seen those sinkers, I just tie on bullet weights for drop shot (because I already have a million )
