I'm in the salt belt and plan on flying south for a truck, before winter. My mom is in Dallas, TX so ill visit her and drive a truck back

 

I found a 2007 Sierra Denali, 6.2 v8 with 173k miles on it, body and interior look great from the pictures. I'm just concerned about the high mileage. I know the 5.3 and 6.0 are built to last but the 6.2 is a "high performance" engine. I see chevys with 250k+ all day long but.. none are the 6.2. Anyone have the similar truck or same motor? Any issues? Thanks in advance guys.

150K on mine, no major issues.  Towed a 22' bass boat for about 25% of those miles.

Do you plan on keeping it? Think it will run another 150k? I'm really on the fence about it.

Yes, and yes.  Change oil every 3500 miles, and you'll be fine.

My work van is a Chevy piece of crap but the motor seems to be bullet proof (4.3 v6). I drive it harshly and it's pushing 300k miles

My previous truck had the 4.3 in it. If it hadn't been in an accident that bent the frame, I'd still be driving it - thing just didn't want to die.

 

My current 5.3 seems to be the same.

This my 4th Sierra Denali, I think.

(Trade them in every three years)

There was a Yukon XL Denali mixed in a few years back.

 Yukon's a Great rig too,  just not my cup of tea - needed separation between the people & the big dogs. 

As for the Sierras, I love them - I always go for 6.2 L - Tows my rig quite nicely.

Ride's pretty Killer - especially for a truck.

Do you have dual exhaust on it or does it just naturally have a nice growl like your Pro XS?

Mine is a single pipe, doesn't really growl unless you're over 3500 rpms.

That’s one of the best looking setups I’ve ever seen! ?????? I guess I’m just worried about the high mileage, with the AFM and then there’s the AWD system...

 

I’m looking for a sharp, rust free, and overall, a reliable truck!
