Set my PB bar fairly high!

Featured Replies

Was out fishing the other day with my brother and a friend of his and landed my PB LMB 6.89lbs! Just wanted to share it with the group since I am beyond pumped about it and don't have to many fishing friends to share the great news with. Just wanted to brag a little ? haha

Honestly I thought I snagged a log/limb and was mad about possibly loosing a lure when out of no where my line ran to my left and pulled drag! I have recently gotten back into fishing about a year ago as something to do with my son like my father did with me, but at no point did I ever expect to see or catch a Bass this large.

Congrats! That's a stud right there and real close to my own pb. Definitely sets the bar a little high now

Welcome to Bass Resource. Congrats on a beautiful fish.  I love bass fishing in La. I spent most of my life in Franklin Parish and I have 3 cousins that are State Troopers in Troop A, headquartered in Baton Rouge.  One of them is actually Gov Bel Edwards personal body guard.  But, I digress..

You'll find lot's of water in South La to fish. Cypress trees lakes are by far my favorite!

Black and Blue Chatterbait with a RageCraw (Green pumpkin) trailer. I was working it on the bottom like a jig, just popping it good and letting it sink. This was around 10am in South MS so like 200 degrees, so I was hitting deep water from the bank.

Oh man a ticket hook-up! I actually live not to far from the Troop A HQ and yes there is a lot of great fishing in LA, but this dinosaur was actually caught in MS, just outside H'burg.
