SK Rage Craw Question

Featured Replies

Do these bait need to be kept in the shell packaging? Will they deform if taken out of package and put into zip locks or a Plano box for easier access and saving space?

I leave my Keitechs in the shell and was wondering if these are better left in original packaging?

I have always felt it depends how you are fishing them and how they are stored.  If it is warm out and you dont have anything heavy sitting on them, they are usually ok not in the blister.  The colder it gets the harder the plastic gets and deformities sort of stay with the bait, especially if something is on top of them.

On moving baits, like putting them on the back of a chatterbait, it doesn't really matter.

Thank you! I bought them for use as jig and Chatterbait trailers primarily. I do have a Plano for craws, but the are mostly Zooms and was thinking of using 2-3 slots for the Rage Tails. The box is stored on end in the main compartment of my bag.

I've kept mine in Plano boxes for years with zero issues.

Nope.

I leave NO baits that come in shell / clam packs in the original shape retaining packing.

With ZERO Ill effects I might add.

Besides taking up too much space, it's somewhat of a PIA getting a new bait in a timely manner on the water.

I may use the original bag (of a zip lock) but the clam-ness goes bye-bye.

I keep them in a Plano box too.  Never had an issue at all. Hot or cold.

I leave then in the clamshell, and store/carry is a speed bag.  No issues, though I do not have any that are years old.  I use them so much, they don't hang around that long.

From the suggestions the craws would be okay in this wallet, but how about Fat Swim Impacts? This thing could get pretty full, would it mess up their tails?64E635C5-A8C2-4BF1-95F7-D856C188FDD0.jpeg.1283c08bd55b4defd448c34160102723.jpeg

You'll most likely mess up the Keitech tails, or tear the claws on the Ragetails.

LEAVE THEM IN THE CLAMSHELLS FOR BEST RESULTS.

Big O want's the baits delivered PERFECTLY.

I store all my keitechs and rage craws in plano boxes and have never had any issues with either. I feel the clam shells take up far too much space for the amount I carry

Only ones I’ve kept in the clamshell has been the Keitechs. Rage craws have been fine in a deep Plano pro patch.

Keep mine n the clam shells, just because.......

I pay extra for them to be perfect in that little package, so I leave them in the package they come in.

Actually, those SK Rage Tail craws belong on the end of your line with a right slip sinker weight for where you are fishing reeled in with those craws going to town.:blob10:
