California 420

Featured Replies

What kind of color is this? It reminds me of the watermelon red color from Gary Yamamoto, what water clarity would you throw this color in?

I have some Zoom Ultravibes in 'California 420'.

As you mentioned, the tail portion is similar to watermelon, probably closer to green-pumpkin.

What I like the most is the 'very dark body' (contrast), which they infuse with red flakes

Productive color for me. Pretty close to Zoom green pumpkin watermelon. Did you just start fishing it? Hard for me to find decent Zoom stuff on a local scale.

it’s the good stuff ?

Bass REALLY get hungry after a Cali 420! That’s when you break out the Cool Ranch Senkos!

There's a color that is very very close one called Cannibnoid. I doesn't smell anything like coffee.

To me it seems like a really dark water Mellon color with red flake. I’ve only used it on a zoom z craw while, It was attached to  1 1/2 Oz jig punching pads.  Had real good success with them last August mid day on little platte lake ( really clear shallow lake) .  Can’t really get it to go any where else

I have a lot of this color as it seems to work well in very clear and normal conditions.  It's a natural green with watermelon appendages and a green pumpkin core.  Works well in lizards and brush hawg.  Always have a pack in the yak.  Between 420 and pbj I feel all conditions are covered.

@Angry John very well said.

Dirty Jigs has a version of it that is very productive.
