Admittedly I'm not his biggest fan but

How about the Day Two David Dudley's having -

Holy Smokes- Talk about a turn around.

9 pounds on day 1 - 90 lbs on day 2

Impressive way to follow up a bad day for sure. I didn’t get to watch much today, what changes did he make to turn it around?

  • Who said bass fishing wasn’t exciting. Ike being a part of it just made even more intense. Love him or not he’s great for tv

  • 41-80 gets $3k instead of $0. I’d guess they had a vote to share the payout 1-80 instead of 1-40 due to the unique year where tournaments were cancelled. Just a guess

  • Looks like the brown bass are active and chewing in the rain on this first morning of competition. And it's always entertaining to watch guys hand landing big brown bass in this warmer water cond

They didn't have a camera in his boat with such a slow start.

It seemed like he started day 2 as not relevant and then all of a sudden he was.

@A-Jay I hate that. Maybe they’ll interview him about it tomorrow. I always like to know how they turn it around since I’m usually trying to turn it around myself.

I just caught the last bit. MDJ looked to be sweating bullets as that clock wound down with him just north of the cut. A lot of pressure for sure.

Ole Ike is putting on a show.

He's pulling off line by hand, tossed a rod in the water and dropped some curse words

All while landing some nice fish.

Ish just caught a 2lber, it dropped to the carpet as he was trying to get the hook out with his pliers.

Then he just wrapped the line around his hand and broke the line, so much for fish care lol

I understand these thing happen, but you have to be aware that the camera is on you

I think the whole fish care thing they tout is BS now that they conduct massive 250 boat live well tournaments

Amazing weights.  I really enjoy when they go to different bodies of water. It is one of the things I really enjoy about the MLF Cups.  I loved when BASS went to Lake Oahe a couple years ago.  I don't think any of the pros had fished it before.

Whew. That was an intense last few minutes around the cut line.

Heck of a final day so far ~

Justin Lucas is on FIRE here in the last 20 minutes of the 2nd period.

Starting to walk away from the field at this point.

If yesterday taught us anything it that It's Never Over -

Not with this format and it's Too Early.

I like the emotion Justin Lucas showed there when it was final. I was pulling for MDJ, but I didn't really care either way. To see how much it meant to Lucas just goes to show what some of these guys put into it.

One thing I found when marshaling is that different anglers care about the fish differently.  It surprised me that some pros really don't care what happens to the fish they are catching as long as it doesn't cause them a penalty and they loose money over it.

Most seem to be sportsmen and do what they can to treat the fish properly.  A few don't.

I complained a lot last year about watching pros fish for dinks.  The 2 lb limit has made all the difference this year.  I watched at least 15 hours of this tournament.  Really enjoyed watching the best fishermen in the world on an amazing fishery.  The nail biter finish was special.

B.A.S.S. you're gonna have to make some changes.

Been there done that....;)

One of these day when my life gets a little bit back to normal, you can be my guest.

I know I've said before, I wish I could spend more time up there seeing as my folks have owned property for 25 years. I've spent more time up there since my grandson was born, than any year in the past. But it hasn't been fishing. I've been doing momma and grandma things. If only I didn't have to work...

That was a great tournament to watch. Sturgeon Bay really showed out.
