Favorite Football Jigs For Spotted Bass ?

Football jigs really shine best in the winter (water temps below 55 degrees F.) ... I believe downsizing the profile / size of a football jig will get you more bites than a "standard" profile / size football jig for spotted bass . That said , I only know of two (2) "finesse" football jigs available (Bass Patrol and Dirty Jigs Finesse Football Jigs in 3/8th oz.) ideal for spotted bass ... Who else subscribes to using smaller profile / size football jigs for spotted bass - what are you currently using ?

*My current Favorite

Bass Patrol Football Jig (3/8th oz.) Living Rubber / Silicone combo skirt in Brown / Orange , Brown / Purple or Green Pumpkin with a Net Bait Paca Chunk 3.0" Standard size trailer threaded all the way up the jig hook shank .

Try the color "Kent Craw".

Rage Craw trailer: Blue Craw or Green Pumpkin. Bite off the last two sections for

a compact profile.

I can’t look at a football jig and call it “finesse.” They are big heavy baits that drag bottom and have to be fished on 12# or heavier line, ain’t nothing finesse about it. Drives me crazy when people call everything “finesse” just to move more product. Next thing you know there will be finesse round baitcast reels spooled with 80 lb braid

Keitech Tungsten football jigs are the best for myself on pressured spotted bass reservoirs, pictured are my favorite two colors and matching trailers, the trailers are 2.5 inches long for reference, I fish them between 0 and 60 feet using the 1/2 ounce model exclusively,  much more "finesse" and compact than the two you mentioned they have 2/0 hooks, fish them on 10 lb line.

^^^this^^^ with Don Iovino 2 1/2” green crawdad or honey comb trailer.

Another option is GYCB Black 3/8 oz football w/ #305 (Baby Bass) 4” Hula Grub.*

Tom

*Call Gary for 4” 305. Skirted jig use a Cowboy 305. Spots love green/lime green and Amber with chartreuse tipped tails.

The Missile Jigs Ike's Micro Football works well on Spots.

Hayabusa Shooting Ball.  You have to supply your own skirt, but its a great finesse style football jig that you can have just as much success throwing on a medium powered spinning rod, as you would a medium/heavy powered casting rod.

Keitech, Hayabusa, Jewel... Theres a lot of finesse football jigheads out there.
