Ugliest Fish in the Aquarium

Featured Replies

So my wife and I visited the North Carolina aquarium at Fort Fisher this past weekend. It was awesome to see the variety of fish they had on display. However, I was disappointed when I got to the tank with the largemouth bass. The ugliest three fish in the whole aquarium were the three bass. They had a funny white film on their skin, around their gills and mouth, and overall didn’t look like my favorite fish to catch. The one in the picture has like a horn growing out between its eyes. Anyone seen bass look so sorry?

Long night..my man had a long night

Looks kinda like me. Didn't realize how closely I resemble a bass! That's so cool.

Yeah, that's not a healthy fish.

Odd indeed. Maybe there’s a new strain from Chernobyl? ?‍♂️

That is terrible looking. If I caught that, I would have to cut the line, would not handle it!!!

Water quality issues, likely high nitrate.

Poor guy got the Rona!  That is a new symptom! ?

That fish came from Homer Simpson's lake.

when you say ick, it made me think of this song

Illinois nuclear power plant lake bass.

Why it'd be on display in North Carolina is anybody's guess. :myopic:
