Honestly, I don't mean it to be an A $ $

When I was young and broke, I used Culprit worm and Booya spinnerbaits. 2 baits in my arsenal.

Now that I'm old and broke, I use jigs. 1 bait in my arsenal.

Don't ask for free stuff.

Join a local fishing club - the guys who don't fish for money. Get friends, learn something new and they usually have a ton of stuff to clear out.

Broke? Try a few garage sales - you don't get the latest tackle but last I checked the OG Rapala floating minnows still worked and I have some from the 70s. Goodwill is a find too if you have them near you.

Get on Instagram and follow all the lure and tackle companies. Some do giveaways pretty often. Some pro anglers will do them also. Tackle stores do them pretty often like Tacklewarehouse does I know for sure. My oldest son has won 2 photo contest, one from Randy Howell for some Livingston baits and one from Booyah for a big tackle pack. He'll never run out of Toadrunners I can tell you that for sure.

I have horrible luck so I have to resort to the old fashion way of buying them or making them myself.

Since the OP hasn’t registered, I am willing to open up the offer to the board.  These are very unique lures and have likely not been seen by the fish in your lakes.  I have included an example below for additional motivation.

Listen guys I was just asking. I'm not a mooch. I'm a teenager wanting to try new lures and I was asking about online giveaways.

Don’t sweat it.  Us old guys never turned down free fishing stuff either. Send me a pm. I’ll send you a box of stuff to try.

There is a way to get free lures without having to spend money and it can be fun.  Go to some lakes that are medium to heavily fished and look for lost lures.  There are some real finds out there (bluebasser86 is the champ at finding lures) and in a short time, you can build up a starting tackle box.  You can even find expensive baits, I have found a couple of Gantrel Swimbaits and last weekend, a Pompadour.

This really works for you since you are younger, you are much more agile than us old codgers.  If you can get your hands on some type of boat (kayak) or flotation device (tube), it will help you get to those lures that shore bound anglers had to give up on.  And as funny as it sounds, a good portion of your success will be in just looking where you may have never looked before.  For example, is there a nice shade tree that people sit under when fishing a certain spot?  Well, look up in that tree.  A lot of beginning fisherman tend to have extremely errant casts that will land anywhere.  I once found a Rebel Pop R 20 ft up in a tree that was 30 feet away from the water.

Thanks for the idea I will use my john boat or a kayak. I have been fishing for about 10 years now and I am just looking for new stuff to try. I will be sure to  do that next time I'm on the water.

We are just goofing...I think we would all like to find ways to lower our tackle expenses.  Now who wants to sign up to clean my garage.  As additional incentive, here is another peek at what you can get.  This one is endorsed by my bulldog.

You know you’re tempted...don’t fight it.  Have you ever smelled some of the scents on the market?  The only downside is you’ll pick up a few catfish as well.

Generally the lures can be found somewhere under the bobber trees

Another option is you can make your own lures.

Had this been your original post, you would have got a completely different response from the crowd. There are a lot of very generous good hearted people on BR.

Does that come in corn or peanut flavor?
