What bait/lure or technique do you struggle with the most?

I'm also gonna say dropshot..I just don't get it. Only thing I've done is lose weights. Throw Ned in same area and get bites.

I use a drop shot for suspending a bait right at the tips of the weeds and working it across weed beds. Being able to work the bait super slow across the weed bed without it dropping down into the weeds gets me so many bites.

I struggle with drop shots too. But to be fair I do not give them an honest shake enough.

I am also kind of horrible with a swim jig. I have seen DC swimming a jig and it makes me tired just looking at it. I have seen others just use a straight retrieve with a twitch every once in a while.

Like another person said, the secret with swim jigs is using a trailer that makes the trailer undulate without having to shake the rod. I love the Xzone Swammer on 1/4 or 3/8 oz heads.

I never catch anything ripping them like that, but I do catch them with regular twitches sometimes. Watch @A-Jayfish one, he just strolls it along

For me it's chatterbaits. They don't seem to work where I fish.

I'm decent at the wacky rig now, but that doesn't mean much to me since a child can use it.

Wow, tell that to the mass of touring pros who win on it weekly!!

Carolina rig.  And it bugs me every summer.  It is easily the most common technique taking big summer bags on my home lake.  I think I had a bite on one....once.

I struggle with the LURE to the lakes of everyone during COVID.  It has made fishing much more difficult!!

Jigs :bushy-browed:

The reason is that I know they are the best and I really struggle with them, But this season I have one or even two combo that will have jig on it all season and it will be my first rod I pick up everywhere I am fishing and see the result.

It has to a carolina rig or a wacky rig.  I can catch bass with them, but for me they are a real pain to fish with.  It seems like I'm always hanging them up on something.

Jigs, Ive never caught a bass on one and I dont enjoy even trying with them anymore. If I ever do get bit on them its a tiny bluegill nibbling at them. Its just not something I enjoy throwing.

I can catch bass all day with wacky ricked senkos, squarebill cranks, and topwater, but jigs I just never got the appeal of them.

I seem to have better luck with jigs around rocks. Believe that is because bass on riprap feed heavily on crawfish. Either way, a crankbait or jig is my choice right now for rocks. But wait... I thought I said I was only focusing on spinnerbaits and lipless for 2021..... well I guess that lasted just as long as all my new year's resolutions
