What’s the thoughts on the kick of the trailer on a bladed jig? If I burn a bladed jig in, how important is it that the trailer matches that speed with its motion of kick? What are some trailers for bladed jigs that you would you rate slow, medium and fast speed? 

I think being in sync is important, but I don't know if the bass care.  It's still new to me, but really liking the hog farmer spunk shad these days.  Seems to match well with any speed.  I've had lots of success with upside down keitechs in the past, but I'm more of a rip and drop rather than burn it back fisherman.

But because so many of the bigger lakes up here have goby

his little number rides around on the back of at least half the Vibrating jigs I throw. 

 

I call it The Thunder Goby ~ and the smallies here choke this thing down hard !

I don't worry about that so much, I just don't want a trailer that fights against my blade too much.

My thought on the kick of a trailer on a chatter, is that I don't want the trailer to have one.

I'm sure it would get bit, but it's probably not something I would try.  In my head it's like putting wheels on wheels to get something to roll when it's already rolling - a little redundant, not necessarily better.  I feel like the kick of the trailer would interfere with the kick of the blade, too.  I don't want to discourage anyone though.  You can pretty much put any trailer on anything with a hook.

Kind of my thoughts on it. I prefer to add some degree of bulk and a little wiggle. Probably why I like the Menace and Pitboss so much as a bladed jig trailer. Both add different amounts of bulk and a little shimmy behind the bait, but without a ton of drag or kick.
