before i drop $100 on vision 110’s, drop a few lines below if you have any experience with the provokes 

I like them well enough. Very nice baits that produce. But there's a reason the 110's get so much hype.

I own a half dozen MB 110's. They're nice, but I can't say they're almost twice the price, nice. They're fragile too, which is a problem for the shallow, rocky water I jerkbait fish the most often.

i know they work, and that they’re top of the market for jerkbaits. i just really don’t want to be spending $25 a pop

do you keep stock hooks on the provokes?

I do not, not because they aren't good hooks because I do keep them on their other baits, I just don't like EWGs on my jerkbaits.

what do you switch them out with?

Provokes are good, 110's are great, but my #1 producer for years has been the Rapala Shadow Rap(slow sink).

The Provoke is a good bait. The 110 and it's variants will always be the one I try first. 

That said, I like the McStick better than the 110 at times and if you have one in blue bandit and one in ghost Norman flake you would about have it covered.
