I've watched all of it..ive really enjoyed it. Mike gets a bad rap for being  loud and crazy but I've always found there is more to him than just that. He's always been one of my favorites.

Yup. It's interesting.

We're all fans of his and, heck, my dad even has an Ike ballcap he wears that reminds him of his best friend he lost to cancer a few years ago ("never give up"). He's great for the sport and does a lot of things to get kids involved... coming from that view of him I enjoyed it.

Episode 1 for those curious:

I'm not an Ike fan, never have been. Mainly because of his over the top antics. That just isn't how I conduct myself. That being said, from what I can tell, he has done more for bass fishing (especially youth) than just about any other angler I know of. Outside of a tournament/camera situation, he seems like a great guy. I just can't get over the schtick that he personifies/embraces.

Mike and Zona are too loud for me to enjoy but still respect their work

Any guy who is supposed to be stocking shelves and helping customers at DSG but instead practices pitching in the isles is ok in my book, but hey, I fished right through GQ on a ship, so....

I really have enjoyed the series so far. As someone relatively new to bass fishing it’s cool to learn about the history of guys I’ve read a lot about.

For all his flaws, Ike has always been himself and you have to respect that in my opinion.

I guess it's alright.  I'll watch a few more episodes.  Seems a little drawn out, but I get it.  That 'stache is terrible, lol.

Federation champion as well. Only angler who’s ever won all three.

I like Ike

I can see where you are coming from though I'm not a loud and crazy guy either. He might think we're crazy because we aren't like him haha

That's true. A lot of people express themselves in different ways. If you don't show enough emotion, you don't care. If you show too much emotion, you are over the top. I have always just found I am on the mild side when it comes to celebrating. Not saying the opposite is wrong, just not my thing.

I though I was the only one who was irritated by Zona's voice. He reminds me of Jesse Ventura when he talks, like every single word needs to be emphasized and is so incredible. I've only seen him hosting bass tournaments in the past though.

Anyone watched any of Iacanelli’s Never Give Up biographical web series? I’m kinda into it.

Thanks for putting this on my radar. An enjoyable and compelling narrative!
