Which craw lure should I choose

Featured Replies

Im fairly limited to buying a craw style lure. Im thinking of buying from these 4 choices. Im thinking of using them on a texas rig in a pretty clear lake with alot of underwater eelgrass. Any reccomendations greatly appreciated.

Xzone Lures Pro Series Adrenaline Craws

NetBait Paca Slim Craw

Strike King Rage Craw

I'm taking the Rage Craw in Hard Candy and Moon Juice.

YUM Christie Craw

Watermelon Red Flake

Black Blue Flake

Tackle Warehouse has 30 packs for these color choices, and a few others too, priced at $10.99

Green Pumpkin Magic speedcraw for the win in those conditions.

Of those 4, Rage Craw is my favorite overall.

But personally if I'm fishing really clear water, I usually reach for something with a little more subtle kick. In that case, the Z Craw or Adrenaline Craw would get my vote. Not to mention they'd slide thru that eel grass better than the Rage Craw, which has bigger, wider kicking flanges/claws.

But if the water is more murky, give me the Rage Craw all day.

I don’t have a strong opinion about this but I will be trying the Baitfuel infused Paca Slims eventually just to see what the hubbub is all about.

Rage Craw and Ultra Speed Craw.

IMHO, Z-Craw to me is similar to the Rage Bug, as its more of a "creature" bait than a craw.

In the past 12 months I've caught more fish over 6lbs on a Grandebass Mega Claw then any other T rigged bait and I dont use them all the time.  The other craw I really like is a Reins ring craw, but the price has really gone up on them.

From the baits listed I would go with the adrenaline or rage craw.  I do like a more subtle action in grass though, just seems to bog down less.
