Hard plastic lure paint colors

Featured Replies

What colors do you guys feel are essential ones to have for painting cranks, jerks or topwaters?

And any personal preferences too.

 Thanks

2 colors I throw the most is Bone and a semi transparent body with blue on the back.

Deep diving Red does well in early spring.

The water I fish is gin clear.

Good luck.

I’m interested in what actual paint colors guys are using to paint their baits.
Don’t know if I made that clear.

Topwater - black and white

Crankbait - brown and green

Airbrush paints I use the most right now:

White

Black

Brown

Orange

Crimson red

Pearl

Translucent gray

Detail moss green

Detail sepia

Now I have a lot of different colors but I use the ones above the most.

I recommend watching some of the lure painting videos on YouTube. Most will tell you exactly what colors they are using. This is how I found out about sepia.
