Any Pelican Bass Raider Owners Out There?

Featured Replies

Thank you for the advice! I only bought one boat it was the last one in stock and it was missing the seats but still worth it if you ask me. I’m waiting till tomorrow to call the DOT because I was worried about the title. I’ll check for those number. Thanks again.

UPDATE!!! SORRY EVERYONE but Photobucket wants me to spend 399 dollars to host my pictures...I just refuse to do that!  You can still check the pics out with this link: http://s709.photobucket.co

  • Picked up my bass raider 3 or 4 months ago and I absolutely love it.  I did a bunch of mods including a casting deck and the deck is rock solid.  It's 3x more stable on my deck than standing in some o

That thing looks like a basket case.  I don't think I'd go higher than $50, but the lack of a title means you'll have to do a bunch of leg work to get it registered.

With a 20% coupon you can find almost anywhere, Harbor Freight's $300 trailer would only be $260, probably equivalent to $150 + repair costs for the one you're looking at, and everything would work out of the box:

He's got a 10E...4' W x 10' L. That trailer is 3'4" W x 4' L. Not wide or long enough.

Thanks for the advice but I checked with harbor freight a while back and they don’t allow the coupon on trailers.

I bought the trailer this morning for $120, I’m from Texas the DOT says I can register it as homemade trailer just need to show them a pic of the trailer and get a signature from the seller. I ordered some new rims, tires, a pair of hub and bearing replacement kits and a LED trailer light kit all online so I can save a few bucks lol that was $135. As of now I’m in $255 and just need to build a platform for the boat and install everything when it comes in. I’m actually excited to work on it lol. Oh and the registration for the trailer will come out to $69 with tags for the year. Thanks again I’ll post pics once I’m done.

Cool! Sounds like you're on your way. That's not bad to register and tag it, could have been a lot worse. I saw a cool idea for a trailer...if I can find the picture again I'll post it.

Where in TX are you?

Part 2

Also saw some casting deck mods on pg. 120.

We lived in Mission, about a mile from the river, for several years. Moved to MO a couple of yrs ago, closer to kids and grands, but go back for the winters and hang out at Poncho's in Progreso...lol.

Installed some rod holders in the rear of the boat.

For any Cabelas guys, just got off hold with customer service after a long wait, they said the boats should arrive at their warehouse June 15! And also that they'd send out emails once shipped...

Yeah man! Was hoping to get mine before the spawn ended but that ship has sailed this week lol

I was a bit worried because cabelas said their boats were currently "out of stock" but I thinks there a limit on how many boats you can buy and that limit is probably how many are gonna be shipped.

Edit: I ordered my bass raider on May 10th so my boat will definitely be in this collection that's in route to the warehouse probably yours aswell have no clue the status of the guys who ordered from bass pro.

Ooh didn't see that til now! Seems like a good thing that it says OOS, means they probably filled up their order from the manufacturer.

Unless, of course, they oversold, then yikes

Doubt oversold, the boat is probably being sold as a backorder so they can get a count of how many boats need to be made and sent to cabelas then when the order is complete they'll bring it back and get another limit of orders and repeat I guess. IMO

Boat isn't even popping up anymore on cabelas website, any word on when we could possibly see them again?

Not sure haha, haven't you bought yours already?

Yes, but I know someone who was interested in purchasing one, Guess i'll just send him over to bass pro since it's still on their website.
