He might have an Ace JF. With this company doing this - it shows that they want another line of Customer Interaction. I see that as a darn good thing, bro.

It's a weird glitch in the system.  Whenever I try to add him, the system changes the name to "roadworker", and won't let me fix it.

Getting back to the original question...

This wasn't meant as a smarta$$ dig or anything, but an honest question.  I've had several Pinnacle products come through for normal maintenance, some older, some newer, and while they are fine reels, they simply lack some of the refinement found in the "Big Four" reel makers' offerings.

Now, that all said, if they are going to actively pursue angler support via schematics,  replacement parts, and regular maintenance and service, then for the guy without an unlimited budget, it seems like a no brainer.  Some guys would rather buy a brand new reel with a warranty, than a used higher end reel at a discount.

J Francho:

Thanks for your question.   It appears you might not be familiar with our entire Pinnacle Fishing lineup.  In addition to our value-priced reels/rods, we also offer a complete selection of highly advanced, smooth-functioning and extremely durable products built to meet the needs of serious bass anglers.  Check out our top-of-the-line Vision XLT and Scion Select baitcasters, for example.  Unlike some companies, we actually design, engineer and manufacture all of our products.  We also ensure that only the highest quality materials and components are used.  At present, we're working with our top BASS Elite Series pro-staffers on a new series of Pinnacle Tournament Class reels and rods.  This custom-quality gear (which will be launched at the next ICAST tackle show in July), is being built to the exact specifications of these top pros.  However, unlike our competitors, we'll be keeping the price of this state-of-the-art tackle within reach of the average angler.  The difference is, at Pinnacle, we don't think you should have to pay an arm and a leg for advanced, tournament-grade reels and rods.  Keep an eye out for our new Tournament Class series at tackle dealers in early 2011.

Good Fishing!

I will!!  I'm one of those guys who would rather buy brand new with a warranty at a lower price than purchase high dollar used gear at a discount.  I also want it to function as near to the high dollar stuff as possible.  So far I've found a select few reels that to me seem to do this and don't break the bank.  What you just described seems as if it will be right up my alley.
