This is true, and come to think of it, I've never caught one single bass while sitting on my couch.

Overheard at a launch, while I'm loading or unloading 5-6 rods into one small kayak ---

 

PERSON: "Wow that's a lot of rods. Do you catch more fish with more rods? Hahaha." 

 

ME: "Well, they don't catch much if I leave them at home"

 

PERSON: "..."

Lots of times I'm Invisioning a top water blow up, drag peeling and tail dancing......all while in the comforts of my couch.

So yes, you can still catch fish.

Ice anglers in their luxurious massive ice castles would argue against the notion that you cannot catch fish from your couch.  Beer in hand, watching satellite TV, waiting for a bite that almost never comes.

Not MY couch.  But in Oklahoma it's not unusual for people to dump large furniture, car parts and appliances along the sides of lakes.  And the summer heat can wear you out.  So yeah, I've caught fish sitting on a couch before.
