Nah they bounce em all the time, is there a different penalty for “slight touch” or something? 
 

also it seemed like he said it was a big one before he ever hooked it

If they "Bounce" them it is a two minute penalty. Usually.  This Ref blew it.

From my understanding, he didn't. A "slight touch" doesn't warrant a penalty. I agree with @A-Jay, mlf has "jumped the shark". They are a joke.

^ I'm with Andy and Steve - I watched one MLF event and the 'big names' got so many byes it was ridiculous.

I'd say a slight touch would be the tail of a bass barely skimming the deck.  That bass crashed and bounced.

That was a slight touch too. I like Matt a lot and agree with @AlabamaSpothunter, I think he's smarter than he acts.
