Light rain all morning but I braved it.  Time for new rain pants.  Caught my best @ Lake Lanier this year @ 4.51 with another 2.36 plus 6 Alabamas to 2.5 or so.  Most on a worm with one on a walking bait and another on a fluke.

Like Gimruis, I am a member of the Great Rain Brigade. I return to fishing next week and am hoping for at least one rainy morning. Sadly, it looks like only sunny skies at this point.

I get more bites in the rain but if I’m in my bigger boat it soaks all the way thru everything, ruins lures, and takes forever to dry out. I watched a pro tourney recently and a guy said “BASStrack will be off for me today, that rain killed my scale”

I should clarify that rainy or at least cloudy days in the summer time are very beneficial, but in the spring, they are not.  At least here they aren't for fishing.  Spring needs sun and warmth, which warms up the water and starts bringing fish out of winter hibernation here.  They begin to move shallow, feed, and prepare to spawn.  Rainy days in the spring inhibit that.

I enjoy fishing in the rain, i am of course fishing from a bank with rain gear on, when it pours i keep fishing or walk around untill it mellows out. For me it adds another element and makes fishing a challenge, yeah i get cold like this spring when it rained i didnt wear enough under my rain jacket to keep me warm and my feet got soaked but i toughed it out which to me makes me feel like Baer Grills.

I love fishing in the rain.  One of my best days last year was a day it rained so hard my automatic life jacket inflated.

I very much enjoy fishing in a light to medium rain. I have excellent HD PVC rain gear just for such fishing days, and 9/10 such days are very productive and best of all 999x/1000 I have the lake 100% to myself
