What would be a good worm (texas rig) rod around the 100-115$ range?

I use my BPS Extreme rod for worming, its a 6'6" MH .  Its a great rod for 70 bucks, not as much as you wanted to spend but i dont know if thats a problem.

just to clear it up, this will be used for ''casting'' not pitching or flipping.. yeah i ment $115 topps

Falcon Lowrider LFC-6-17 or the LFC-6-1610 (one is 7', the other is 6'10").  Great rods in your price range.

For your price range I'd recommend a St. Croix Premier 6' casting rod in either Med or Med heavy power with a fast action (PC60MF or PC60MHF).

6'6" or 7' MH Team All Star or a Gator Rod for off the rack rods are hard to beat. Check into some of the rods the guys like Alpster and  ReelMech produce. They look pretty state of the art to me and if you could get them to make you one I would bet it would be exactly what you want for a worm rod.

Ditto! I like the St. Croix (PC60MF) very easy to cast and has enough backbone. Great all around rod, I use it 75% of the time.

I have the St. Croix Premier in the 6'6" MH F and it is all I use for worms, jigs, tubes, etc.  I love this rod and it was my first quality rod and the sensitivity is great for the price.  I would highly reccomend it and it can also be used for other applications.

6'10" Team Allstar Heavy, extra fast tip. IMHO, the length gives you alot more leverage and power on hookset and feels and fishes better than a similar 7'.

i have a johnny morris 6-6 mh.it's slighty mushy for a general worm rod.the pro qualifier is a little heavier action.i use my johnny morris for rattletraps and cranks.

After reading DodgeGuy's post, I have to agree the Johnny Morris Rod is a bit "mushy".  It seems to be more of a moderate rod for crank baits but I have used it with some weighted T-Rigged worms and have done well.  In any case, it is a good rod for the money ($119 when I found it on sale).

i might get the Croix Premier, and i was thinking of getting the 3/16 to 5/8, would that be good?

This is to light for fishing a worm, go with no less than 5/16 to ¾ oz

the price point you selected has more good quality rods than any other I can think of.

You can't go wrong with the St. Croix premiere, so that would be an excellent choice.

MH fast would be the best power and action.

I will go against the grain here a bit, and suggest you look at a 6' length. I find it much easier to finesse my worms with the shorter length, because when I manipulate the worm with my rod tip I'm not moving it as much as I would with a longer rod. Also, I cast more accurately with that lenght. For the worming you described, I'd get the Premier PC60MF, and it will also double as a great spinnerbait rod. Good Luck!

I will SECOND this rod as well!  

Daiwa, Shimano and St Croix all make excellent mid-priced blanks.

My personal favorite is the Daiwa Light-and-Tough 6'6 MH trigger rod - $120

They use an IM-6 blank with remarkable latitude: Lure Wgt: 1/8 to 1oz - Line Wgt: 10 to 17lb

The Johnny Morris (an excellent rod) feels mushy by comparison.
