also, do all the other variants like the shallow spool and air have the same side plate ?

If this is like the pixy and the og alphas, they should all be the same, yea. But what the hell, the reel was just released not long ago, and the side plate is already discontinued? You can still order 20years old plus side plates for reels released in the early 2000s, but not one (a non limited edition mind you) that was just released? makes no sense.

Next week I'll be near my gear and can see if an air side plate fits on a 800.  They are different colors and spool sizes though.  From my understanding the 800 side plate should fit the regular spool alpha.

Bumping this for anyone that can help me locate a part that will fit, even if it's a different color. Currently, his reel is out of service. 

@Bandersnatch, will the side plate from an 800HL work?  Per the Plat website they one have for $36.38 US, hope this helps.

There is this place. It always shows up in my searches for parts but I know nothing about them. I can't say that they are even legit.
