Creme lures?

Featured Replies

I didn't know Creme made such a large selection of lures. We found some Creme stick worms in Walmart the other day and picked them up to try. They feel very good, soft, not too tough. And we've caught a couple bass on them so far. Made in the USA.

I picked up a pack of their fluke style baits tonight while at Walmart, but I haven't taken them out of the package or used them yet. These small packs of worms only cost $1.28 at our local Walmart. But that turns out to be a pretty good cost savings, if the lures both work and have a decent life.

Upon looking at their website it seems they make a good variety of things, not just the old pre-rigged worms that I associate with the brand. They have flukes, finesse worms, lizards, even a 16" worm that might do for a snake lure. They don't have a huge variety of colors like Zoom does, is the only downfall I see.

Does anyone here prefer Creme soft plastics?

I don't prefer them even though I have more than a few packages.  I don't care for the stick worms as they have no salt and I normally fish those weightless.  For any type of weighted presentation, especially a Ned rig, I like the fact that they are pretty bouyant.

I've tried the craws and they are okay if you're not looking for a lot of action. I purchased them because of the low price and my experience with the original Creme worm.

I wonder if they still make any of their baits.  Many of their products look exactly like baits in the D&J catalog so I don’t think they make everything they selI.

Caught a few using the green pumpkin and wtmln/chart lam. Rigged: T Rig weightless. Cast very well and hook stays in place. Located: Tyler, Texas with a nice site. Been around a long time.

Good Fishing

The Creme Scoundrel plastic worm is legendary. I still use them. I've also caught many crappies on the small Creme tubes.

Creme and mister twister are OG and make some good stuff but most of the time I use zoom which is also cheap and very very high quality plastic etc.

As far as cost goes - hard to beat Zoom for me.

I buy and use it all though and I buy whatever is on sale usually 🤫😏😉

Sounds like the senko type cremes would be a killer on a carolina rig. I may have to get a few packs to see what it does on a C-rig.

I haven't tried any of their bass lures, but the 3 inch spoiler shad works fantastic for speckled trout here in South Louisiana.

The craw makes a great bottom hopper on a free-rig or shaky head.

The 1/10oz tiny lipless cranks are killer for panfish 😁

I've used Creme worms since shortly after they came out.   I still have some from that era - early '60s.  I recall they came late 50s, but weren't too available nationally then.  They had a booth at the Cleveland sport show, and I ordered then from them there.  The yellow ones I liked were hard to get.   They were quite stiff, but the bass didn't seem to mind with the near neutral buoyancy.   Quivered much like a senko does but stiffer.    I guess the bass never saw anything like that and were curious.  When jelly worms came, creme's faded until the floating one came out.  Culprit took over for a while until Zoomies launched.   Now we have the trick worms to fill that weightless void they created.   It was sad that Jellyworms reengineered their worms.  I tried to entice them to batch me some old ones but they destroyed the molds.   I still have a small stash that's dwindling but they out fished the new ones, 2:1, and I can prove it!   I think the Ditto gator tail is the hands down best for fishing in weeds.  also now obscure.

Scoundrel or Trick worm. From way back . They both still catch em today

When I was a kid I fished the Creme Midget crawler in Earthworm color and purple with white dots 6" finesse worm, 2 hooks rigged and a propeller blade.

I would cast it out and just reel it in slow.....Used to catch tons of fish on that rig. Believe the worm is actually a scoundrel.

I have since used the Creme flukes and caught on them the same as I normally do a Zoom Fluke.

Caught some bass on the stick worm too, but I rarely fish a senko style worm so not much to report there.

The Scoundrel has been one of my staples for years.

Crème discontinued the Scallywag, the only thing that would get more fish is dynamite
