What’s a good Mepps in-line spinner for bass fishing?

Mepps Bronze Killer

All of them are good for bass.  I prefer Blue Fox Vibrax #3 but would not hesitate to buy any Mepps inline spinner and fish them anywhere for bass.

#3-#5 Comet - forget the bare or 'fluffy tail' Mepps - go for the minnow.

I fish roostertail brand mostly. I do have a mepps. For roostertail, I use 1/4oz so I can cast it easily.

#3 (1/4oz) or #4 (1/3oz) Aglia in gold and silver, and Black Fury in Yellow and Orange

Or honestly, any others that you like, because they all work.

I've never noticed any difference in dressed vs. not dressed.

Man these were the deal when I was growing up. Don't know why I ever got away from them!!

I use #5’s in Minnesota and Canada for smallmouth in Canadian Shield lakes with little to no weed cover.  Gold or Silver depending on if the water is clear or stained.

I use a #3 down South for largemouth and Spots when using FFS. Silver or Blue Platium if a Herring lake.

The Aglia Plain with gold and silver blades, smaller size (2) 1/6oz, gets a lot of bites ... in smaller waters ...

When I was a young guy this is all I knew for fishing river and creek smallmouth. Like you I don’t know why I got away from them.
I should get slapped for that.

I use the #3 and #4 in old school plain, undressed bronze, aka the most boring of all the options, but I've found it to be the most effective. They do need to be polished with steel wool from time to time.
