At Costco this morning and they had Christmas tree's out and other decoration.

I'm old, I remember when that didn't start coming out until after Thanksgiving.

I even remember the first Christmas commercial that was on TV was for Norelco razors with Santa coming down the hill on his rotary sled 

Can't remember what I went into the kitchen for though.............  

Do you want to hear something even more bizarre. My neighbor still has their colored Christmas lights up from last year and still turns them on at night!

I never heard of this until I moved south, but apparently a bunch of people I work with leave their tree up year round and just decorate it for every month/holiday/season. Like valentines day would have its own decorations for the tree, St. Patrick's day, 4th of July, etc. etc.

 

I thought we were bad putting it up right after Thanksgiving...

Geez, as soon as Christmas day is over its coming down. Late to put it up always after Thanksgiving, but super fast in putting it all away. (And I live in the South)

The best method is to never decorate 

We love Christmas. We usually put the tree up shortly after thanksgiving, though I vote for before halloween. We always leave the tree up until epiphany, sometimes a little longer.

I have had a giant cross in my yard since Christmas on the year of my conversion. 

The tree and lights go up the week before Christmas and come down the week after New Years.

Our was tree up Christmas Eve…. Down New Year’s day.

 

We started a tradition when we were first married.  The tree goes up the first weekend in December, and comes down the first weekend after New Year's Day.

I'd be fine with it after Thanksgiving through New Years.

 

Decorating in September or October is ridiculous.  It's like these other holidays don't even exist anymore.

 

Honestly its become one of my most disliked holidays on the calendar now

Tree goes up day after Thanksgiving, multiple boxes of decorations are brought in from above the garage and basement, probably over a dozen big boxes of stuff.

Wife loves decorating the house, I put one ornament on the tree.

Everything gets put away about a week after New Years day.
