Trailers for mini buzz baits

Featured Replies

I picked up a couple 1/8 oz mini buzz baits on black Friday - a strike king and a booyah.  Any experience with them?  What trailers?

I use Menace on 1/4 oz buzzbait.  Never had anything smaller.  Maybe ned size craw or menace.

1/8th oz gets tricky. They’re so light that you could find them swimming on their side with the added weight.

Maybe try adding a 3 or 4 longer strands of skirt material to create the trailer. Otherwise you’ll find yourself playing trailer bingo trying to get the weight right.

Great idea jf10...

no sarcasm bro...

I use the 2.75" swammer on a 3/16 micro buzz.  Tracks really well.

I just use the smaller size missile baits spunk shad!  Or a fluke jr.

Don't like to use trailers on a buzzbait.

Curly tail grub or rage craw would be my choice.

Used to use the SK 1/8 oz. Buzz baits a lot but not lately. Mainly used the tail section of a Zoom trick worm, maybe 2-3". Worked well because it did not interfere with the action due to its slender profile. Favorite color for the trailer was yellow by the way and it also works on larger baits.
