Stolen bass

I was struggling at work, trying to get enough done as to be able to go bass fishing this weekend. Between work, problems with my health, and a dozen or more of life's normal setbacks taking up my time, I don't go bass fishing nearly as much as I should. I have learned to live with this fact and try to enjoy the few times I go as much as I can. I hoped to be able to go tomorrow, but realized late in the afternoon that I would have to work instead.

I was fine with the fact and felt good about maybe getting a little ahead with my work. Then a friend who now is an ex friend, text me a picture of this bass and asked if this was caught at my secret lake. Right when I was starting to feel good about the coming weekend, I get hit with this picture. Instantly I thought about quitting my job, grabbing my fishing gear, kissing my wife goodby and moving to the lake.

I don't know who I am more mad at, the lousy xxxxxxxxx that poached this giant bass out of my private lake, the man at the store that instead of selling me the winning lotto ticket sold me a worthless piece of paper, or my lousy Ex friend who was evil enough to send me this insane picture on Friday afternoon, knowing full well I wouldn't be able to go fishing. Right now, I'm going to take all of my vengeance out on my ex friend, because I don't know who the poacher is, and I doubt if I can remember where I bought the loosing lotto ticket. If I ever do find out who caught my bass, my full fury will be focused on them. What gives this xxxxx the right to take time off of work and harrass my bass why I have to work and can only dream day dream about giant bass. Even be more of a sick evil peron, and post a picture of my bass with my lake's shoreline in the background. Any person with common decency would have blurred out the background and said they caught the bass at Baccarac.

How big is this bass? I don't know who caught it, but I recognize the exact location. Now I'm going to have to give up even more fishing time in order to go to therapy.

Because we know you and know that you truly have a private lake and are an awesome dude, this must be an actually bad guy. In that case I wish him nothing but angry hemmorhoids on every fishing morning and wind knots on every cast. Sorry for your luck.

And I don’t want to put. Weight on it from picture, but it looks every bit of 26-28” so 15# is definitely in play.

I'm going to say that this guy is a professional horse jockey and he's 4'10 and that bass is 3.5lbs. Hope this helps.

This was my failed attempt at humor. I don't have a private lake. This public lake has been somewhat of a secret for years. I consider it my lake, but there have always been a few people that fish there. I was surprised to see a picture of someone that I do not know holding a giant bass caught at this remote lake. A friend saw the picture that was posted on Facebook and thought it might have been caught at my favorite lake. My friend has never been to the lake, but did guess right. The place the picture was taken is easily recognizable to anyone who has spent much time at this amazing place. I don't know how big the bass is, but it is bigger than any I have landed. Hopefully I find some time to go fishing there soon.

I'd be protective of that too. It's yours. There is a public lake that I fish that is primarily used by catfish and crappie fishermen. Two years ago I caught four bass over 5lbs and five more over 4lbs during the season. I told my wife. She was the only person I told and I only told here because she doesn't fish. In the words of Ben Franklin, "Three may keep a secret if two of them are dead".

That’s a monster bass. If that Jersey then that’s truly an amazing bass!
