I've heard so much good stuff about the Revo Stx about to purchase one...

Need help in picking out a rod for it in the $75 to $150 range....

I fish with a lot of different stuff so what would you guys recommend for an all around rod for worm, spinnerbait, topwater, fluke, crankbait, frog type fishing??

My first choice would be a Carrot Stix 6'9" MH, but if you arent a fan of them, my next choice would be a Kistler magnesium 6'9" MH All purpose rod.

Not an STX but here's my Premier on the Carrot.

shimano crucial 6-6 med action with 10 lb braid a zoom lizard a owner 4/0  some brush or trees ...ooops im getting carreid away

I have both the carrot stick and the avids, and I would say the  carrot stick is a better rod as far as sensitivity and weight.  The avid is still a good stick but not quite up to the carrot stick IMO.

At first, I put a STX on a Carrott Stix, but later tried the reel on a 7' M Daiwa L&T. Love the pairing.

I have both the carrot stick and the avids, and I would say the carrot stick is a better rod as far as sensitivity and weight. The avid is still a good stick but not quite up to the carrot stick IMO.

funny you say that because i have a carrot stix and 2 avids and i think the avids are more sensitive...

Abu Garcia (Pure Fishing) is offering a rebate for $50 if you buy a Revo and a Fenwick or All Star Rod.  After the rebate it would put you in your price range for a Fenwick Techna AV or one of the new Elite Tech rods.   Both are sweet rods.

Now,  there's a man that knows what he's talkin about. Kistler, IMO is the best rod,  hands down. And I've had/tried just about ALL companies. I also have a carrot stix and it is pretty nice!
