Quantum Schematics

Featured Replies

I was wondering if anyone knew of a site that has Quantum reel schematics......Besides reelschematics.com where I would need to sign up and pay, might be my last resort.

Did you check their homepage? I know Shimano has them available on theirs. I would be inclined to think that Quantum would offer their customers a similar resource.

And to prevent it before it starts for anyone who might think this is a pro shimano, bash everyone else thread, forget about it, because it isn't. ;)

I don't think so. This is why many professional

reel specialist do not service Quantum reels.

The other major issue is the availability of parts.

With so many other options, why buy a reel from

a company that abandons you once you buy their

gear?

:;)

Obtaining parts and service for Quantum gear is no more of a challenge than it is for any major brand of tackle. Here is the manufacturers link to parts (including diagrams) and service.

X2.

Just bought a handle for my Energy.

Very easy to navigate. Printable .PDF's.

Checked Quantum's home site also.

Just plug in your reel model # and hit go. Very simple.

Google fishing reel repair and you will come up with a few others also.

I'm sure there are others.

I did not feel abandoned at all and part was readily available. ;)

Thanks A-Jay, I knew about the fast turn around time as Quantum is popular here in South Florida and I do know people that have sent them back..............on rare occasion.  As for my Cabo, 2 drops of oil in the last year and it's like  new.

It appears I am wrong.

Not the first time and

probably not the last!

Quantum has a very easy to navigate schematics section inthe customer service section, but they pretty much only have current models. Mikes reel repair has an extensive list of current and older models.

Thanks for the help.  I had scrolled through those pages as well. I have a quantom, KV10001hxd baitcaster that i can't find any schematics for.  They do seem harder to find than Abu or shimano.  There also built a little diffrently, lol. Any other suggestions...

Mike doesn't list this reel as a matter of fact he doesn't list any signature branded reels for Quantum®.

Went to tackleservice.com and plugged in the proper model number KV1001hxd, came up with this info..

"KEVIN VAN DAM 7.0 LH BC REEL  KV1001HXD"

If you need assistance with your product or warranty parts, call (800) 588-9030

hours of operation are 7:00 A.M. to 4:45 P.M. CST Monday - Friday.

"There are currently no parts listed for this model."

I have serviced Quantum® for over 15 years now (no longer), and they don't get any better just more confusing in their CS...

You might get a copy of the schematic from Outdoor World Rod & Reel Repair.. ;)

Tight Lines!!!!

Those store brand/pro model reels from Quantum can be sketchy as far as replacement parts go.  Problem is, its sometimes hard to tell if a reel for sale is going to be supprted or not.  I'd contact Quantum directly about it.

For other reels, I've found their online system more than adequate for my needs.  I wish other companies would do the same, since its such a waste of time waiting on hold for the next available operator....

From the linked page..

remember our famous guarantee. . .If, while still under warranty, your freshwater reel is not repaired and on its way back to you within 48 hours (24 hours for saltwater reels), we'll send you a free Quantum fishing cap!
I have 5 hats from my experiences with their CS......

One of the reasons I went to their factory training session's and was listed with them in the late 90's and early 2000.

Hey thanks for the help, a quick call to quantum and I had the schematics in my email within moments!!!

Cool.  I was using an optimistic approach. If "A" and "B" are similar, and "A" has a certain trait, then it should be reasonable that "B" might also have a corresponding if not similar trait.

Good to know Quantum has a similar resource.
