Line on the reel and fish slime - outstanding !

You got that right: I didn't get that smallie to pose like that without it jumping all over the rod and reel first :D

Finally got the met out with its new partner. No big fish but the dinks were chewing the jig: image_zpso9jbybob.jpg

Decided to put it on a megabass orochi xx emtf. Perfect 3/8 ounce jig combo. It's like they were made for each other: image_zps3qncbyn5.jpg image_zpsmsqwf11l.jpg

Do it! It's not the lightest combo but the balance is great compared to Nrx 893 with the same reel. Very versatile as well. I've used it mostly with jigs and plastics but it handles swimbaits and even squarebills nicely. First combo I've had in a while that I have nothing but good things to say about... Can't wait for more time on the water with it. ;)

Orochii xx extreme mission and perfect pitch

Nice combos!

Nice combos!

I used to be loomified. Until these came along. Next will be the levetian. Now that's a stick!
My first JDM reel. Unfortunately it could use a new anti-reverse bearing but other than that I'm happy. Couldn't pass up the color scheme on it. Not sure why the pictures are showing up sideways.

Is this the same reel, or did you get another one?

Got a call about 30 minutes ago that my reel was finished being painted. Can't wait to get this TD-Z back together. It'll have 6:3.1 gears,Steez 100 spool, and boca abec 7's. Also scored a 90mm 100m handle for it. This should be a nice little caster. Maybe I'll stay up late and assemble it.

Well I had to get this thing back in one piece. I kept debating on having the handle color matched when it was there. I believe now it's together I'll have him paint it too. I have a pxr drag star for it but I'm liking the stock look for now. Maybe a 90mm carbon handle in the future.

Sharp looking reel Ripp'n! Looks like the paint job is pretty similar to the original.

Thanks. Yeah pretty close. A few shades darker with more metallic. He asked me what color and I told him I didn't care. Either some sort of metallic grey, or black. He said well here's a motorcycle tank I just painted, and walked me over to it. It wasn't cleared yet, but I liked the color so I said that'll work. Made it easier on him too.

I know you guys have seen tons and tons of these, but I just go my first $150+ dollar reel and I have to show it off. Plan to maybe do a few mods to it later on.post-48596-0-19158300-1437768447_thumb.j

Those tatulas are fine reels! I have two of them and to me they are perfect for anything over 1/4oz. I have tried alot of different reels from all the big manufacturers and daiwa really impressed me. The only reel I have that I like more than the tatula is my pixy px68, that is the smoothest reel I have ever had the pleasure of fishing.

This thread is an eye opener for me.  It seems like I am the only one without pristine reels.  Anyone else with some world-weary reels?
