How many of you use spinnerbait trailers? If you do when do you use them, what kind do you use, and what colors are best?

The only trailer I add to my SB's is a trailer HOOK.

If I actually throw a trailer its a 4" zoom grub.  Color depends on spinnerbait color.   White is the usual color though.

Sometimes I will use a grub in muddy water? Trailier hooks all the time!

I dont throw a trailer most of the time. The times I do put one on is when I want to bulk up the lure and give it a more solid profile. Typically, I will use a two to four inch swim shad which adds bulk and buoyancy to the lure. It allows me to fish it slower and it also seems to deflect off brush and other structure better.

Really, the only reason I dont put one on more often is that I catch fish without them. Not really scientific, just personal preference.

I just about always use a zoom fat albert in chartreuse because i usally fish in muddy water. I think it help the fish to home in on and hit the hook and it gives them it a bigger profile.  But in clear water i dont use a trailer accept for the odd time.

Yes, always. Usually 3-4 inch grubs. A lot of times i use spinnerbaits with trailers and no skirt, like a beefy beetlespin. The only difference is the blade is bigger and the plastic is usually around 4 inches.

Pretty much always. I started doing it this summer and found that it clearly increased the number of fish I caught. Generally use a 3-4" curly tailed grub or a 3" fluke. White, smoke, or chartreuse.

I always fish with one, it has really increased the size of the fish I catch because it increases the profile of the bait.  I use the Yum spinnerbait trailers in chart flake with the red tips on the twin tails.

I use a twin straight tail like what is on Hank Parkers spinnerbait, twin curl tail, single curl tail, long skirt material, pork chunk, tube, worm, plastic frog, zoom swim chunk,

colors-white,black, chartreuse, flat yellow, black/yellow, pearl, frog pattern.

i always use a trailer.  when i was younger i always put a powerbait grub on my spinnerbaits and caught a bunch of fish.  when i started back in fishing someone told me not to use a trailer and i didnt catch any fish.  put the grub back on and started catching.

all this really tells me is how important confidence is in fishing and how imortant it is to like the way your bait looks.

i usually use a yamamoto grub although sometimes i will use a powerbait grub on small spinerbaits or if i want a smaller profile.

i use them on every spinnerbait i got i use crawfishes and i cut zoom brush hogs in half and use the bottom part the color i use is usely red

Always; either single or twin tail grubs in white or chartreuse  

the mister twister 4" twintail grub has always worked for me and i've never missed a fish so i don't use a trailer hook. lately i've been using a berkley powerbait chunk and it's working just as well, only now, i'm catching bigger fish. i'm also experimenting with buzzbait trailers. i've had amazing success using a pearl white fluke on a white buzzbait, and i'm thinking of trying a zoom ole monster on a buzzbait. i'm gonna have to buy some trailer hooks!

I usually cut the tails off of my used up superflukes

In stained water ill add a non-action trailer and in muddy water ill add a double tail grub.  Always a trailer hook.

I like to use a fluke on a white or yellow spinnerbait.

In muddy I use brighter lures

You can also use grub, but use acordingly to the water you are fishing.
