Poor kid... for so many reasons.

why didn't the cameraman say something?

Looks like he took the clip out but forgot about the chamber.

why didn't the cameraman say something?

Same thing I was thinking.

Seriously how can people be so stupid.

First question- Is this for real?

Second question, if so, how did this guy manage to live as long as he did?  Stupid is as stupid does.

So let me get this straight.  Giving a gun to a small child unsupervised in a public place is a bad idea?

I LoL'ed.....  :-[

If we are lucky maybe they'll all do this and our troops can come back home sooner.

ROTFLMAO! That is great. Stupid is as stupid does. Anybody wondering who we are fighting against should see that. I had to watch it multiple times. You could scour the planet and possibly never find a dumber individual.

I wonder if he got his 72 virgins yet ?

From what I read on that the dude died. The kid got hit in the head with the gun from the recoil.

What was this dude thinking?!

I wonder if he got his 72 virgins yet ?

Too bad they are a bunch of ugly !!! dudes.

Comments like these disturb me. Yes, the guy made a stupid decision by allowing the child to play with the pistol, and he paid for it with his life. I don't find any humor in this and I assure you that if you ever see a man shot to death, you won't be LOLing. They scream, they cry, they beg for their mothers, and then they are dead. If this was an American family would it still be so funny? thetr20one, if you're wondering who we are fighting, it's not these people. They were a family celebrating a wedding, nothing more. Those of us who have patroled the streets of Iraq understand that we are not at war with the Iraqi people. We are dealing with an insurgency that wishes to disrupt a struggling, new democracy. There are bad apples among them, but the Iraqis in general are just people trying to make it in a war torn country. grimlin, while the American public may be ready for the troops to come home, you won't hear too many Soldiers complain. Sure, we would like more time between deployments (and more pay), but we realize that there are good people over there who will suffer if we leave before the job is done.

Bird Dog I DO respect you and know you will be leaving shortly. That being said I DO NOT respect an ideology or people that rewards the killing of Americans or anybody. Sure there are great people around the globe but, a man who would ever let a loaded firearm fall into the hands of what appears to be a 5 year old is not one of those people. I laugh not at his death but, at the fact that somebody COULD be so foolish. He didn't have to be Iraqi to be so dumb. Him being Iraqi just puts the video over the top. I don't feel bad for him, I feel bad for the child and his the rest of his family.

Bird dog, great post.

thetr20one - eh, not worth it.

thetr20one and grimlin, I hope you didn't take that as a personal attack. That was not my intention. I hear comments like that all the time and I just wanted to share my thoughts. I won't get into a religious discussion here, but most of those idiots who blow themselves up in the name of martyrdom are not Iraqi. They are uneducated and therefore easily influenced foriegn fighters. Most of them can't even read the Qur'an.

That's not true. Most of the people who get swept up into Islamic fanaticism are actually well educated youths.

But all this is besides the point. Didn't we have a post like last week about an 8 year old American boy who was killed because he was allowed to handle an uzi?

Stupidity knows no borders.

A very good point you make here Bird Dog.

The other thing about stupidity, we all have it. I highly doubt that anyone on this board honestly looking back cannot think of something utterly retarded they have done. Usually, these are things we laugh at with our friends.

Sometimes though, one complete brainfart, can cost you more than you'd think. I had a bud who goofed off and fell in his garage. He hit his head and died. Left a 5 yr old son and a fiance behind.

Who knows that this guy was thinking. Might be he was drunk or that he thought the gun was unloaded or who knows.

I didn't take it personaly at all we all have our opinions. I refuse to engage in political and biblical discussions because of this. I have friends that are serving currently and E-mail me very graphic photos. I consider this gentleman no smarter than, and you can youtube these. Isurgent vs. Abrams, insurgent vs. Apache, insurgent vs. 50. cal. I really do get a kick out of their stupidity. God speed Bird Dog!
