Sort of. Where I live most of the gas stations only had regular, some were completely out, some had all grades.

Filled up at 2.69 today in Albia, IA.  Prices have been dropping quick!

3.35 - 3.50 in Washington state.

Yesterday afternoon, we finally got down to $2.99 here in MD for regluar!

Pump prices increased to 2.87 here overnight.

RW,  Got a question.

I know it takes time for the Gas to oil prices to catch up.  But normally here in MO the prices are consistant on gasoline.  Any clue why there is such a huge difference between KC and St Louis?  We are talking 40-50 cents a gallon.

I suspect it's all about delivery. We had the same situation in Memphis vs. Nashville and the eastern part of Tennessee when hurricane Ike struck. Over time, regional gas prices should be about the same. The biggest variance is generally among states due to fuel taxes. Around here gasoline is always cheaper across state lines in Mississippi and Arkansas.

BTW,

If you re-read the original post from August 8th, we have reached my projected range. If oil maintains current levels the retail price of gas will be in that $1.75 - $2.25 range shortly. Some parts of the country are already there!
