Suggestion for new forum Topic

Featured Replies

I didn't know where to put this so I figured I would start it here.

I have a suggestion for a new forum topic: College Bass Anglers. I know there are quite a few of us who peruse the site frequently and are members of Collegiate bass teams, or people who are looking for ways to help start up a bass club at their school.

Collegiate bass fishing has exploded in the last few years (which is awesome in my opinion) and this would be a great place for those of us who are younger anglers to share ideas and information.

Just a suggestion, but one I am hoping you will take into consideration.

Thanks,

Justin

FWIW.....

The forum already has both a "Bass Clubs" section and a "Tournament" section. As the forums expand into more and more "specialized" groups, I think they lose the input from experienced anglers who will avoid the age, gender and special interest specific forums. I guess what I'm trying to say is, I would like to have a "old, bald, with bad knees" section, but Catt & I would be the only ones to go there. Actually, that wouldn't be so bad. ;)

If you would add "XL" to that, I'd post there!   ;D

Old Farts Fishing Club ;)

For now, Bass Clubs would be a logical choice.

sign me up for the old fart's club.

I always thought that you had to be at least 60 to be considered an old fart... but since you, me, Catt, and probably others are all 58, perhaps we can get a "group waiver" and they'll let us into the club a few years early... ;D

Sign me up. I am "only" 54 but by physical condition and temperament I should qualify. :)

Did I hear old from a bunch of youngsters?  My ocean boat mates are 80-78-74 and I'm the baby at 65, my job is to haul all the hit to the boat. :)

  • Super User

Hey, I 'm 46, can I join the Old Fart Club ?  cuz evrybody I know says that I may not be old in years but I do have the old fart attitude.  :)

What end? There's a never ending supply of Old Farts. Just keep this in mind; you're up next.  ;D ;D ;D

Well, the memory must be fading...

We already have Team Depends vs Team Pampers!

wouldn't be fair to have an old farts club and know i couldn't go there for solid, sound advice as opposed to a bunch of opinions

I am technically a member of Team Depends now. Never thought I would feel "old" at 31.   ;D

Where did you get the idea that us Old Farts don't have opinions? We have opinions to spare. We're simply able to pass them of to you youngsters as "wisdom". ;D ;D ;D ;D

I second that motion  ;)

Anyone in the OFFC is willing to give solid, sound advice. But, it's just their opinion; although it may have taken decades of experience to form. ;D Besides, when is the last time a youngster listened to the opinions of an Old Fart?

  • Author

Being a young guy...i actually listen to those who have more than twice (or three times) as many years as me. It may be advice from someone stubborn, but if it's the way they do something it's probably because it works.

Looks like I'll have to be in the Mr. old farts to you club.

Gotta pass as prez, not enough aches and pains yet.
