Was not what I was implying Glenn. It was a joke. I have no problem with the Reg Fee.

Man, last night when I read that, I somehow replaced "that's" with "what's" in your post.  Ah, well g'morning Glenn!   :D

So does that mean no dancing girls? :-/

So does that mean no dancing girls? :-/

After spending the money on the goodie bags, maps and the meal there wasn't much money left Leo.

I understand Glenn's bringing in a few gals from Kentucky who'll dance for free food and liters of coke.

Don't you mean Gallons and not Liters?

That picture and the mental image of Burley sleeping, that has scarred me for life, have my head spinning.

Hellllpppp!!!!!  :D :D

Is there a deadline to register for the roadtrip? Sounds like alot of fun.

  • Super User

Registration for the trip, along with the $50 fee gets you the generous goodie bag, T-shirt,  along with the banquet dinner.  I believe there is a deadline but it's not usually until a month or so before the event which isn't until next May at this point.

If you just wanted to show up and be a part of it, that's OK too.  There's no charge for that.

Is there a list of individuals who have indicated their intention to attend next year?  (Other than going back through all 14 pages of this thread.  ;))

I'll PM Long Mike if there isn't one.

  • Super User

I dont believe anyone has officially confirmed, as in paid the registration fee.

That info has not been announced yet.

There is a page on Facebook where some have sent confirmation.  I believe you can search for "Bass Resource 5th Annual Roadtrip" on there and it should come up.  Invites were sent out via FB when the trip was announced.

More near the trip, lists will be put out with contact info and what not.

"Sign-up" will be this fall. Hotel/ cabin reservations

are currently available, but you must make them

yourself.  Stay tuned, we still have a lot of time

between now and then.

Understood.  Thanks, Speedbead and RW.  I was actually just seeking a tentative list of those who have indicated their intentions to go.  I know that list is liquid and can change quite a bit before the actual event.

To my knowledge there are at least 3 cabins full at this point (12 people that have committed to a cabin). There may be more and some will camp and others are getting a room in the lodge. I'd look at the thread from last years roadtrip. While many commit this time of the year, fewer actually follow through.

I'll wager, mods included, we're probably close to 20 - 25 so far.

I would like everyone to encourage people on the Forum that

you consider your friends to come. Time is the biggest issue,

the actual cost is low for those that can drive, especially if you

car/ truck pool.

OK, its the 2nd - 7th, so thats 5 nights at the hotel, right?

  • Super User

The actual nights would be the 2nd through the 6th.

Correct, but if you have the time some of the guys

will be coming in Friday or Saturday and staying

through the following Saturday. Come in early

and you and I can fish Saturday or most of Sunday

(Meet & Greet Sunday afternoon).

The "official" time frame is Monday through Thursday.

OK, it's waaay too early to start this, but if you have made FIRM reservations for a cabin or a room, PM me with your name the names of your roomies who have made FIRM commitments  and I will start compiling the list.  If you have beds available, include that in your post.  Every once in a while I will post the information on this forum.  I will not post the names of those folks who would like to attend, will probably attend, or those who almost, probably, for sure, might attend.  In other words, put your money up or shut up for a few more months.

Hey Mike-

I won the shirt on ebay. When is it shipping?

Is there going to be a MOOKs only cabin?

No one gets left behind on the bank.

Typically, boaters/non-boaters are paired up the night before at dinner.  Last year, some made plans to fish together well in advance of the Roadtrip.

There will be a boat for you to fish from, no doubt.

No one gets left behind on the bank.

However, if you want to bring your boat, Pickwick is part

of a commercial river system and is very well marked with

channel buoys. Maps are detailed and with just reasonable

caution, the lake is "safe".

Steezy, is your first name Bobby? The reason I am asking is that for some reason I received a letter of confirmation from Tennessee State Parks for a guy named Bobby living in Frisco, TX.  Your profile says that you live in Frisco.
