Featured Replies

im curious as to what your alls fav. "type" of jig. (finesse, bulky. heavy, ect.)

hand tied by me- finesse diamond shaped head short shank hook- color varies usaully natural though.  No heavier than 3/8oz- I fish them from 1ft to 35ft of water dosen't matter and they are awesome!

Booyah Baby Boo 5/16oz Black/blue or Watermelonred.

Favorite trailers: Netbait Paca Chunk, Ragetail Chunk

Brown football head rubber skirt tied by me in sizes 1/4-3/4.  I'll take it over all other colors on a regular basis.

A 5/16oz "Pamunkey Special" finesse jig tied by me matched with a 3" GYCB twin-tail grub trailer gets it done on the rivers for me.

On most lakes I prefer a 1/2oz black/blue or PB&J flippin jig tied by me matched with a ZOOM super chunk in a matching color.

how do those oldhams work for ya catt? im liking that tinsel lookin stuff in the skirt.

I am a fan of the black/blue or a black/green with a Rage Tail chunk or craw.

My personal option Oldham's is the best jig for heavy cover be it vegetation or wood; the hooks are huge even on their ¼ oz size.

Revenge flip jig, either black/blue or brown with a berkley chiggar craw, chompers double tail grub or an Uncle josh pork frog.

I have 2

For Rocks: 1/4 ounce Football Jig Head: a few different brands, but must have the screw type thingy to hold the plastics, with an ***  Beaver Craw , any shade of green or dark brown

For most every thing else:

A Slider or Lucky Strike Finese Jig head with either a 3.5 or 6 inch *** Brush Bug: Watermelon/Purple Swirl. I dont even think color is that important, as long as it's dark

Outkast Pro Staff, Outkast R.T., Stanley Finesse, and some local made arkie style heads that I put my own skirts on.

I use  a 1/2oz poisen jig in blk blue most of the time.  My other favorite is pbj.

I fish 1/4 oz GMAN's jigs, 1/4 oz Micro Munch Tackle and 3/8 oz Evolution jigs.

Trailers: GYCB Flappin' Hog and NetBaits Baby Paca Craw are my favorites

Currently it's football jigs either 1/4 or 3/8 oz.  Been fishing them with big trailers too.  As the weeds start dieing down I'll use poisen heads more often too.

My favorite so far are GMAN's jigs in all varieties.

how do you fish your jigs with that baby paca craw rw? ive recently bought a pack of em to try em out. ive heard you basically swim em because the pincers dont float to well. i love the action though. those pincers are like 2 big colorado blades under water.

This is just my opinion on the floating claws.  I do not think it is that big of a deal.  If you watch a crawfish walk it goes backwards with pinchers down. The only time they are up is when its protecting itself.
