Double Digit (Castaic Lagoon)

Featured Replies

I've already posted this in the Western States forum, but someone recommended I should post my report here. So here goes.

Met up with Roger, Alan, Ray, Captain Castaic, Jesse and a few others at the lagoon. Everyone caught fish and had a blast cracking jokes at one another. It was a pleasure fishing with you gents and look forward to doing it again.

Ray, Roger, Alan and I decided to stay while the rest of the party left. This is when the action got hot! Ray caught is personal best of 4# 10oz. and slayed them all night. He definitely had the hot stick.

Although I didn't catch a lot of fish, I kinda made up for the lack of quantity with a toad!

DUDE!

That's a toad.

Congratulations!

I had the pleasure of witnessing this catch as well as lipping her out of the water. What a fish! I get chills just thinking about it.  8-)

MY LORD!!!!!!!  My jaw dropped :o!  One of the prettiest and certainly, one of the heaviest BASS seen for a while 8-).

Dan

Wow....what a toad.  Congratulations man.  Did you happen to get a weight on that beast.  I'd say at least 5lbs ;).  Lol.  Seriously, if you guys didn't get a weight I would love to hear a guess.

that 11 pounder looks alot bigger than it is          awesome job

Outstanding,

Definitly deserves a place on FishChris' website.

Notice how Cap'n had to jump in and take some credit.

I'm surprised he didn't say he reel it for you  ;D ;D ;D

No kidding...We'll see what Fish Chris has to say, but that fish looks A LOT bigger than 11 lbs to me. Have you guys weighed some real weight to calibrate the Rapala?

I just don't think that weight is right. I'm one of the first guys to say that you can't really judge weight by a picture, but that fish looks more like +/- 15 lbs to me.

Oh my goodness, WHAT a BASS!  LBH is right, your smile says it all!  Congrats!

                                                           deb

that is like almost as big as the fish that fishchris catches LOL keep at it and you wiill catch em'

Great fish really nice

Sean

What a beautiful fish CONGRATS!! I do have to disagree with a lot of you though. That fish looks exactly how big it is. Most people grossly over estimate their fish so when they actualy catch or see a big fish like an 8lber they cant believ its not 11 or 12 lbs. They think the scale must be off. An 11lb bass is huge and it lookes huge just like that beatiful toad in the picture.

roadwarrior,

What do you mean by real weight? I've tested the scale with gym weights and side by side with another scale (same model).

avid,

You're funny dude! I was just excited to see the fish. ALL the credit goes to halijedi. The hard part was already done and I just did what was asked of me. I know jedi would do the same for me in a heartbeat.
