What is your favorite crankbait pattern?

Featured Replies

I know it will be different depending on where you fish and the forage on your lakes, but if you had to choose one pattern what would it be. It can be two or three if you choose.

I would have to go with some type of chrome pattern.

White, the universal color for cranks.

I like the sexy shad pattern or a variation there of. I also like a pearl body with black splatter on top and yellow on the battom.

The red breasted silver shad does wonders for me. It seems to attract bass when nothing else is working.

The one lake I've been fishing more recently is on the stained side most of the time (visibility is no more than 2' deep at best). Firetiger has been my most productive color on that lake. For the clear lakes that I fish, Green Shad is my most productive color.

have had some luck with chartreause body with blue stripe down the back. but i havent fished cranks that much so what do i know :;)

Crome on sunny days

Or some natural (perch-shad-bluegill)

White. Black Splatter Back

Anything with green or blue in the color, or combo of both.

Pearl / Black or Yellow / Black

If every crank in my box was one of those 2 colors, I'd still have just as much confidence as with the current rainbow of shades that resides there......but let's face it - colors are FUN!

Clear or Stained: Green back/ White sides and belly

Muddy: Black back/ Yellow sides and belly

white is my favourite crankbait colour of all times. firetiger for muddy water.

Crawfish

Perch. Natural color that bass are used to eating in the waters I fish works great in clear water and the flashy orange belly with dark back works great in dark water.

Almost forgot Limetruese for smallies!

I would get a Shad color, and a craw color. But color in general white for sure!  ;D
