Can anyone tell me if there is decent shoreline fishing around the lodge?  If there is time off the water, I was wondering if I guy could just wander down to the shore and make some decent casts.

There's not much that bothers me, but you jsut gave me the heebie-jeebies, thanks!

I want to know how many others have already been studying maps and picking out spots they want to try?

Ive glanced at a map a few times, there is so much area its mind boggling. Im hoping the water is really high when we get there. I cant wait , its gonna be awesome.

I have Hot Spots plugged into my Garmin from my Map Source Program. Might not catch fish but at least I will find my way back to the launch. I can not wait.

Well, other than pouring over the Fishing Hot Spots and Navionics HotMaps computer images and the Google Earth and Virtual Earth satellite images, I can honestly say that I have spent no more than eight hours looking at that lake.

I have spent years looking at maps of Ky. Lake and find new spots every time I look them over.  :) Don't be intimidated by all the water. The fishing is looking great this year. Btw, I've been finding some grass! Looks like it's coming on early this year!

Good, because I couldn't find fish in a fish store.

Road Trip Update - 3/11/09

Well folks, it looks like we have thirty-five confirmed attendees; thirty-three of whom have registered. The remaining two deadbeats continue to be * and Senko77. CJ, R520dvx and his wife Niksfishinmom may join us at the Monday or Tuesday night dinners.

Simp is still searching for a place to lay his weary head at night. He is 27 years old, single, doesn't drink or smoke, and best of all, doesn't snore (according to him.) ;)

Will someone please extend a helping hand?

Sounds good to me.  I will begin prepping for around 40 people for the chicken dinner should any stragglers show up unannounced....

Or if Burley eats a few extra chicken quarters.

i have a tent he could use and an air matress.

Plan on 45. We have guest speakers that are not on the registration list.

Dang, now I feel left out of the loop.  No one told me that before....

OK, can do.

Note to self: Use JJ's magic for seasoning on Glenn's chicken and serve with a side of Megastrike for dipping sauce....

So, do you want 45 bags and 45 badges, too?

I will have the name tags complete for those that

are registered, the others can simply write their

names out, it's no big deal.

Alrighty.

OK, now we are up to thirty-six confirmed.  Btech PM'd me to advise that his buddy is now attending.  Sorry, Speedbead.  Make another note to yourself to provide Btech and his buddy with the same delicious meal that you will be serving to Glenn.  ;D

He's been really worried about having his boat done in time.  We need to cut him some slack, wouldn't them two singing Leanne Rimes "Blue" at kaoroke one night be enough?

Brian, you are absolutely right.  They must do penance, not suffer punishment.  You are charged with bringing the music.  ;D

I do so solemnly swear I am sending Ronnie my registration today. I will be there along with a friend. I will be fishing everyday with other attendees. Look foward to seeing everybody there!

Jimzee, I may show up at your house earlier than originally expected.

My fiance gets home from work around 11:30 on Friday night and I may very well leave for your place after saying goodbye.  If you get up and see a black Explorer in your driveway....DONT SHOOT!!!!!   ;)

Shenanigans! The drive down will be an adventure in itself.Im pickin up a hitchhiker to keep me company if we see any.

I'm actually kind of glad to hear that.  I wanted to leave early as possible but didn't want to ask you to leave your house at 3 am to meet me at 6 am.  You can always sleep on the ride down to meet up with Pitchinkid and Booten.  We may end up getting there plenty early on Saturday to hit the lake in the early afternoon.  Woo Hoo!!! :D
