A little word of advice SMfisher, be sure your rods are strapped down on Bootens boat. He threw mine out because of fear of getting a butt kickin one day. Luckily The rod sock had an air bubble in it and floated. He plays dirty.

Dude, a carrot stick doesn't fully qualify as a real fishing stick. The loss would have been minimal....

Is it time to go yet? This month is going to be so slow, just the anticipation building up by starring at the map of KY lake and watching the previous videos from the other trips that looked like a blast.

Should have both boats done by the end of next week.  I've got 2 tourneys between now and the KY trip.  It's crunch time.  

OK, boys and girls, as of tomorrow morning, I'm off on a five day fishing trip to Louisiana.  I will have no internet access and very spotty cell phone service; if any.  If any of you need to need to make any changes to the attendee list, e.g. beds or boats, it will have to wait until I get back on Tuesday.

30 days and counting. Anyone getting excited yet?

I got excited yesterday when my boss told me I was going back to work in a couple of weeks.  Been layed off long enough, that I didn't want to go back to work for a week and then go on vacation.  Didn't figure that would look good.  He remembered that I talked to him about this last fall and said all was good and not to worry.  All I need to do is catch some fish for him.    Whew!

Boy, there's alot of coves and backwaters on that thing isn't there?

I cant wait. Luckily we are going to have some higher tempatures this weeked so maybe ill get to calm down a bit and actually fish for something that doesnt require waders and a fly rod.

NC is getting great weather this weekend too. Lastweekend was miserable with snow! Im so exited i was out in the snow workin on my boat lol. So hope this weekend is nice so i can get this thing ready to go.

I cant wait any longer! As soon as im done with the boat im leaving

Just thought I'd post this for those of you coming to fish Ky Lake.  Last Sunday there was over an inch of snow that came down Sat nite.  The first bass tx of the year went out of Paris Landing...snow and all.  Winning stringer for 5 fish was 23+.  Just thought you'd like to hear that

Actually .... there was also a small 11 boat tournament that went out of Fenton.  Directly accross the lake from Kenlake. Took over 25 lbs. 6 of the 11 boats hed over 16 lbs; and there were 6 fish over 6 lbs; weighed in ..... bite has been pretty darn good for the goofy weather.

    I want to know how many others have already been studying maps and picking out spots they want to try?
