You have a potential state record, depending on the size line you used.

I hear Peacocks give a hell of a fight, and I can't even imagine how fun that fight might have been.

Very nice catch!!

That is definitely a trophy sized fish. My biggest is at 5 pounds and that fish you have is way bigger. Very nice.

Thanks guys. I caught him on a Rapala X-Rap SXR-8 with a olive green top and siver on the belly. The line was 10lb test Power Pro and it has upgraded Owner #6 hooks because I've had fish smaller than this one get away because they tear the stock hooks apart.

WTG!

That's it. I'm moving to Florida.

You have a potential state record, depending on the size line you used.

Great fish !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You're lucky they've only torn off hooks, those 8's can break rods too!

But what an awesome peacock you have there

I used a Boga Grip to weigh him.

very nice and very large. 1 pound away from a state record. go back in 6 months and that fish will weigh 9 pounds.
