Yesterdays catch....

Featured Replies

It was a tough trip. Only managed to scratch out 3 fish... a 3 lb Larghemouth, a 3 lb Smallie, and this fat healthy 5.4 lb'er :)

I guess I forgot how big a 5+ Smallie was ! In the water, I guessed at least 6, maybe 7 lbs. Even after I caught it, I was thinking it had to go 6... but the scale doesn't lie. Only 5.4. Still a nice fish though.

Oh, I caught all 3 fish on my micro-light and a fly-lined crawler. Never got a touch on swimbaits, or wakebaits.

Sweet picture Chris. I almost think your photo skills are a good as your fishing skills. It's obvious you excel at both.

Good to see that goofy grin on here again.   ;)

Still doing the stereo thing or is this your return to the bass fishing world?

Hopefully you stick with the fishing.  Just not the same without your pics and info for inspiration.

Good to see your posts again, Fish!

I was just up at your site a few days ago checking out the pics, very nice.  If you're ever in my neck of the woods, there's an open seat for some shooting and fishing for dinks :)

Much thanks guys :-)

BTW, you might like this pair of Mergansers in-flight, that I shot yesterday, during the same trip....

Great fish.  Seeing shots like that really make me want to take a trip up north one day to get a shot at some of those smallies.

Wonderful pictures !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What a purdy smallie. I wish I had those closer to me. I have never caught one.

Good to see you back catching and posting!

Great catch & really great pictures.

Awesome fish man - that must have been an awesome fight - never caught a smallie yet - none down in my neck of the woods  :'(

Great catch, and I really like that picks of the birds. Assuming you have some great gear with you, and keen eye

Thanks guys :)

I definately had fun. So much in fact, that I'm going to be there again tomorrow ;)

Peace,

Fish

Excellent catch Chris. Smallies are some of the best fish to catch. They don't give up. Good to see you back on. Pics are fantastic as per usual.

The photo captures the tiger stripe markings of a smallmouth in stunning detail.

Great focus of those mergansers on the fly. That can't be easy.
