Jig Trailers?

Featured Replies

What have you all found that is the most buoyant to provide the slowest possible fall for a 1/2 ounce or larger jig?

GYCB Flappin' Hog and the Reaction Innovation's Double Wide Beaver.

I like GY Flapping Hogs II. There real balky and tons of legs and appendages and they really fall great on heavy and light jigs.

Full size Paca because of the air pocket or the double wide.

Double skirts will help slow you Rate of Fall  ;)

All of the above plus a larger line diameter.

I would go to heavier test mono and use a ChiggerCraw.

Net Baits Paca craw it has a hollow body that traps air.

The Netbait Paca Craw and Baby Paca craw are to me the best tube craw that is out there today!  Fish them as a tube or as a jig trailer.

A full size brush hog. Just bite the top off past the arms, or the bulkier beaver baits will slow the fall down as well.

X2 for the brush hog, but I just cut the top off with a knife.

I like using the Rage Tail chunks, they have great action and I have done well using them.

For 1/2 oz and heavier I use the Rage Lobster and pinch to desired length....Slows fall rate substantially and provides excellent flapping action even in the coldest water and minimal rod movement.
