<------ Here she is, on 03/13/05, about 1100hrs, hooked her on a brush hogg. First bite of the day fishing with my 74 year old dad. Nothing like sharing the moment with the person who taught me how to fish :), and winning the side wager for 1st fish and the biggest fish of the day ;D.

7-3 LM

3-4 SM

I caught the LM in my lake using a 1/2oz. white Lunker Lure buzzbait. The SM was caught on a pumpkin/orange GYCB grub on a 1/4oz. jighead while wading in the upper James River.

5 lbs 6 oz Largemouth

3 lb Smallmouth

6.6# largemouth bass at an 8 acre pond in east central KS on a black w/ red flake Mann's swim worm weedless-rigged with no added weight in mid-June.

I could not believe how hard this bass pulled until he got twisted up in some

moss.

I've been serious bass fishing for 10+ years...  I estimate that in my lifetime, I've probably caught about 8,000 bass or more.

Out of those 8,000+ bass, the biggest one was ... just 8.5 lbs.  :'(

Shiners would probably help my chances of breaking double digits, but I'm just not a shiner fisherman. Hopefully someday my dream of catching a 10+ lber will come true.  :-/

<-----  10 lbs. 8 oz.  Caught on March 25, 2005 at Lake Fork.

6-10 LM, caught last October on lake Guntersville.  I know thats not that big by the Big G's standard, but I will be back this spring.

9.2 bass from Toledo Bend my home lake.

Biggest fish i ever caught on a rod and reel, well i know you guys won't believe this but I caught a 23 pound catfish out of Toledo Bend on a tiny torpedo. Yea shocked me too, some kind of freakish accident I was in a small cove fishing the torpedo when the catfish hit and then just swam right up to the boat and into my friends waiting net, was not even much of a fight. that was a weird day for sure.

Junebug Senko - high 2's low 3's Tules bay, NC Didn't have a scale or measuring tape with me at the time. Ihope to improve that by the end of 2006 width me being sent all across the states for training.

Sad isn't it!

My bigges t bass was a 12 pound 14 ounce.  The most I ever caught was 76 largemouth in 3 hours.  I had been to that lake dozens of time, nothing ever happend like that before or since and I have fished for bass for 50 years.

The funny part is I was teaching a friend to fish for bass that day.  His first time fishing with lures LOL

8,000 bass in 10 years, that is quite an accomplishment, I have fished for bass since I was six years old and have fished for 50 years and you have beat me by about 2,000 bass :).

That 's a good example on how scarce Big Mommas can be, in my best year back in the early 90 's when I was younger and fresh out of Vet school and single and I had time to fish whenever I wanted and was able to visit Mexico 's big bass lakes regularily I caught 12  fish over 10 pounds, 3 of them including my personal best in the same trip. But those are cherished memories; now in a good year I 'm lucky if I catch a couple.

My first time bass fishing I went to Stick marsh and caught a 26" 9lb.  didn't realize just what I had done and promptly threw it back without taking a photo  :-/  nevertheless I was hooked and have yet to repeat that feat  >:(  Largest in a tourney is 6.62 which was only third largest of the day. Lake Istokpoga in August on a tiki stick. Patiently awaiting double digits  ;)

the biggest bass i have caught was a 4lb. little rhodey largemouth in a little pond in my neck of the woods.

2 - 8lb 6oz     largemouth    1966 Kansas farm pond,  1986 Toledo bend

6lb 10oz   Smalmouth     Lake Cumberland, Keentucky

    3lb 4oz     Spot               Kentucky Lake

This is about my 4th year fishing and ive got a 4 1/2 smallmouth 22 inches caught on a Rapala Countdown, and then a 4 largemouth on a 1/16 ounce bitsy bug jig. Im hunting a 5lb smallmouth this year but i hope this freakshow warm winter in Tennessee wont mess up the prespawn.

Got an 8+ in 47 degree water in early March just east of St. Louis on a white spinnerbait reeeling so slow I almost fell asleep.  Also caught a 44 lb. carp with a plastic worm at night picking out a backlash.

Those are some nice fish guys.  My LM aren't as impressive

LM 4.16 Lb

SM 5.89 Lb

The smallmouth was during a tourney and got big bass.  It was in the spring though.

Good luck fishing.

The biggest for me so far was a little over 5 pounds. It's the fish in my avatar.

2 of my goals for 2006 are to catch my first smallie and striper. Never fished for smallies and only twice for stripers. Those stripers crash the top like runaway trains!!

9 1/2 pound smallmouth, 26" length 18" girth

Springtime 3/99 at the mouth of the Little Pigeon and French Broad River, 1/8 oz. Bitsy Bug w/tiny chunk, 6 lb line. I will never forget the fight or the fish!

11 pound largemouth, Florida Everglades. The shiner was almost as big, hehe.  ::)
