As far as information and resources, what site rates better than Bassresource? Doesn't seem possible.

bassfishinghomepage is ranked #1

I wouldn't worry about that. A webmaster needs to implement code on every single page in order to track correct rankings. I did this for a number of years, in which BassResource.com dominated the standings.

Since then, their servers have proven to be slow and inconsistent, which ruins the page load times on our site. So I discontinued the practice and removed the code from our site. Only a few do it these days, and most are either spammers, or cheat by placing the code on hundreds of non-bass fishing pages.  I think dozer's site is the only site that's legitimately following the rules.

That's a long way of saying the rankings are incorrect and don't mean anything. ::)

Who cares...We would just attract all the spammers and thieves. Just enjoy the site for what it is.

The best out there.

If I left the rankings would skyrocket-Anyone want to pay my entry to bass fishing home Page- GLENN???? DOZER?? TRITON MIKE????? I think there would be a line around the block.

Our members make this site #1 ;)

Bassresource.com is awesome!!! I've been to a lot of sites, and am a member of only three, and this is one of the three. The other two are fishingclub.com, and azbasszone.com. I'm not interested in the rest.

HitsUnlimited means squat... BR is the best... and that's Lunkerville endorsed!  Hey, what more do you want or need?  BR has it all!  Go check out the rest and you'll find yourself back here.

At least we are top 100, think about how many other websites there are on the World Wide Web

not sure about popularity, but I've learned more from this website than any other I have visited. The moderators here do an excellent job.The posters here seem very cordial and helpful to one another, and the things I wanna find I can easily find.So i guess there are alot of other bass fishers missing out ;D.I say best fishing website is Bass Resource

there are other bass sites?

i hadnt noticed.

BassResource is my bass fishing home.  It's where I go when I need to relax, unwind, or research a fishing techniqe.  It just feels like home.

x3.  Best site and best members bar far

This site is the BEST, I don't care what the rankings say about it here. With over 25,000 members I think that for one speaks for itself.

I say this site has been Glenn tested and fisherman approved. :D ;D

Glenn is right.  If BassResource chose to put that code at the top of every page their rankings would skyrocket.  It is a testament to the growth of the site that they don't have to worry about where they are ranked on that list anymore.  That listing was relevant 10 years ago--.  By the way... Is this bassresource's 10th year?

You guys are too kind.  I do appreciate all the accolades.  But as a few have already stated, it's YOU that makes this site so great.  But oh my goodness!  The confusion reigns yet again!  ;D

I started this site back in 1996, making this our 14th year in existence.  I eliminated the old forums and switched over to this forum software in 2004, hence the 2004 start date.

Hope that helps!

I have been on a lot of sites similar to this one and bass resource is by far the BEST.

I frequent four fishing-related forums, but this is the only one I check everyday.

I would challenge anyone to find a bass that has the following.

Best Members.

The absolut best info and advice on bass fishing.

A site that lets members have fun, but doesn't get way out of control, like some sites.

Where a New member can jump right in, and feel at home.

So ..yeah, regardless of ranking, WE know BR is #1.

Oh, yeah..and the mods are o.k. to.. :D
