Fishizzle,

Yes BrushHog is my go to confidence bait..  Caught fish on it about every way imaginable.  T-rigged slow and go, Crawling across pads and grass, swimming..you name it...

As far as a fish story my favorite is of course about my PB bass.  I had taken the day of from work on my b-day and hit a little 50 acre secluded honey hole near my grandpas farm.  I fish from a pond jumper I bought specifically for this water...  It was going to be a very warm day so I got out plenty early and was on the water before the sun was up hoping to stick a few on top before it got tough.  It was not to be.  Fishing was very slow but I slowed it down and grinded it out picking up maybe 8-10 fish by noon.  It was my B-day afterall and I could of been working so nothing short of lighting was driving me of the water on this day.  By noon a west wind had picked up and it was 100 degrees plus, but as long as I was getting bit occasionally I was staying.   This little water is mostly devoid of any serious structure but the hot weather had made the algae bloom like crazy and the wind had blowed it against the dam making for a little shade.  So I trolled over to the dam and snuck up to the corner where most of the algae had blown and pitched a t-rigged watermelon zoom lizard just onto the bank and twitched into the wather and into the gathered algae.  I let it hit bottom and gave a couple slight twictches then Bam!  A 6lb 5oz beauty absolutely drilled it!  I babied it to my jumper which the bass had dragged me around in and lipped it despite my quivvering hands.  I weighed, snapped a photo, released and called it a successful B-day.  My lesson learned from the day is if you don't go you will never know... So if I got the time I am wetting a line  ;D

Welcome.  I love the brush hog as well.  You stepped up to the plate with that story.
