While I have not been a paying customer he has on a couple of occasions been free with advice that has very helpful. He is quick to help all who ask questions on this board and he has been around long enough to have a history that speaks well of his abilities and character in my opinion.

if i had stuff worth repairing, he would get it.

I sent a couple of reels in over the winter and was very pleased. He got my Curado and Stradic as good as new again and was very nice to deal with. I would not hesitate to use the service again.

Sent a couple reels over there.

He emailed everything that he was going to do to them.

Great service.

I have had multiple reels serviced by DVT. I've been extremely pleased with the quality of the work, the quick turn-around, and the communication.

I also had Mike build me a custom rod. I knew what I wanted, or what I thought I wanted. Once Mike started asking me questions, I realized I had a lot to learn. The good thing is Mike took the time to educate me. When the rod finally arrived, I got a great custom rod, great service, and a pleasant surprise when I got the bill. Even without his member discount, the price was well worth it. I'm saving up for another one.

Whets

I've used DVT to supertune several reels, they came back better reels, they would cast further and run smoother. Fast turnaround also. DVT gets my highest recommendation.

DVT serviced a reel for me and I was more than happy. Price was great and I got the reel back quickly.

Would he install them Boca bearings for me then?

Have you had enlisted the services from Delaware Valley Tackle? How would you rate them? Tell us!

I didn't have a paying transaction but we did have a conversation regarding various brands of spinning reels. His opinions were well-thought and made a sense. An excellent source of information!

I've had a couple used reels I purchased sent directly to Mike for cleaning and upgrading. I'm very satisfied. Got to cast my daughter's Chronarch 101A today with a 5" Senko. I was surprised at the distance, so I'd have to say he did an excellent job on it. The Sol I had sent to him hasn't been spooled yet as I'm waiting on a Pixy spool for it. Like to try it for ultralight fishing.

Mike built me a plastics rod for my daughter as a Christmas gift. Had to be pink. Had to be short. Very reasonable price. Of course, I couldn't spend a lot on her or I would never have thought about the custom route, and would have gotten the Pink Avid. Mike turned out to be the better option.

As already mentioned, he is always willing to offer GOOD advice free of charge. Mike's one of many very nice people on this site willing to help others.

I had to relearn to cast my SX and Cardiff when they came back from cleaning/tuning. Great service, great guy to deal with. I'm still working on getting a custon spinning rod from him.

I haven't had a reel cleaned or rod built but his advice on both rods and reels is good and anytime he chimes in on a topic it is always worth reading his insight. I plan on having a reel upgraded by him as well.

I called him with a question and he was very helpful. Very pleasent to deal with. "Thumbs-up".

I recently sent him a JDM Metanium MG and a High Speed Zillion and they are buttery smooth! Had him replace drags and service them.

Mike's gonna get a swelled head. :ok-wink:
